A RESOLUTION FINDING THAT A PUBI�IC
NECESSITY AND NEED EXISTS FOR THE CITY
TO ACQUIFE A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND,
DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS RESOLU-

AUTHORIZING AN OFFER; AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY ATTORNEY TO FILE CONDEMNATION `

PROCEEDINGS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS :
Section 1 . That the City Council does hereby find that a
public necessity and need exists in the City in order for the
City to improve its street facilities on all of that lot, tract,
or parcel of land situated within the City limits of the City of
Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas, and described in Exhibit "A" ,
attached hereto and made a part hereof, for right-of-way purposes
from the owner of the property, John J. Houlihan, et ux.
Section 2 . That the tract of land to be acquired is for the
purpose of constructing and maintaining a roadway on the property
described in Exhibit "A" .
Section 3. That the City Manager is instructed to offer the
owner the sum cf $1 , 146 . 00 as cost consideration for the street
right-of-way. In the event the owner rejects the offer, the City
"" '° Attorney is directed to file a condemnation suit in Tarrant
County in order to permit the City to obtain the tract ef land
,� pursuant to its power of eminent domain.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 3rd day of September, 1985 .

EXHIBIT "A" TO

STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY

BEING an area of 764 square feet out of the Franklin Wood
Survey, Abstract No. 1688 in the City of Grapevine, Tarrant
County, Texas, and being part of a parcel ef land deeded to John
J. Houlihan et ux and recorded in Volume 5665 , Page 53 of the
Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas. Said area being described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1-inch iron pipe in the proposed north
right-of-way line of Dove Road and the most western line of the
above described tract;
THENCE S 56° 21 ' 49" E, 80 . 30 feet to the Point of Beginning
of the tract to be described, which lies on the north right-
of-way line of Dove Road;
THENCE S 56° 21 ' 49" E, 112 . 71 feet to a point inside the
proposed right-of-way of Dove Road;
THENCE N 28° 22 ' 02" E, 17 .55 feet to a point that lies on
an arc having a radius of 720 feet, which describes the north
�' " right-of-way of Dove Road;
�� THENCE Northwest 112 . 85 feet along the curve of the proposed
right-of-way of Dove Road to the Point of Beginning and contain-
ing 764 square feet of land, more or less .
