Pursuant to and in accordance with Article 970A Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. , the Municipal Annexation Act, public hearings are hereby called for the dates, times , and locations described below for the purposes of considering the institution of annexation proceedings to annex the tract of land described in Exhibit "A" , which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as if copied in its entirety into the body of this resolution: ON-SITE PUBLIC HEARING - Thursday, May 12 , 1983 On the property described in Exhibit "A"--4 : 30 p.m. SECOND PUBLIC HEARING - Tuesday, May 17 , 1983 Grapevine City Hall--8 :00 p.m. 413 Main Street Section 2 . All interested persons shall be given the onportunity to be heard at said public hearings , which shall � be conducted and held not more than forty (40) days nor less than twenty (20 ) days prior to the Institution of the Annexa- ��,,W tion Proceedings. Section 3. Notice of Public Hearings. A. Notice of these public hearings shall be published in a newspaper having general circu- lation in the City and in the territory proposed to be annexed. Said notices shall be accom- plished by publication of this resolution in its entirety, including Exhibit "A" , at l�ast once in said newspap�r not more than twenty (20 ) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to each public hearing. B. Additional notice by Certified A4ail should be given to railroad companies serving the City and on the City' s tax roll where the right-of- way is located within the territory to be annexed. Section 4 .
