BIDS WERE PROPERLY TAKEN AND REVIEWED
FOR THE PURCHASE OF A HALF-TON PICKUP;
PROVIDING THAT THE BID BE AWARDED TO A
FIRM OTHER THAN THE LOW BIDDER; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, the City Administrator was authorized and
directed and did in fact advertise for bids for a half-
``" ton pickup to be used by the Sewer Department in accordance
with specifications prepared by the Sewer Department; and,
WHEREAS, four (4) bids were received and reviewed from
Payton-Wright Ford Sales, Preston Chrysler Plymouth, Hudi-
burg Chevrolet, and Lakeside Ford; and,
WHEREAS, the bids have been analyzed by the City Admin-
istrator and closely reviewed by the Sewer Department; and,
WHEREAS, even though the bids from Payton-Wright Ford
Sales and Preston Chrysler Plymouth were lower in price by
$493. 65 and $225. 75 respectively, the detailed analysis of
all aspects of the bid has caused the City Staff to recom-
mend the bid be awarded to Hudiburg Chevrolet because of

and because of Preston Chrysler Plymouth' s lengthy delivery
date of 75 days.
