The City Council af the City of Grapevine, Texas, convened in special
meeta.ng at 5.05 P.M, on this the ls� day o�' May, 1975, with the following
members present, to-wit.

Mayor Tate callad the meeting ta order.
The Invocation was given by Councilman Dai�an.
There was no OId Business.
mhe £irs� arder af business was for th� City Council ta consider the
appointment of a Municipal Court Judge to serve during the illness of
Judge Dave Austin. The City Secretary read a resolution (R-75-17}
naming Doug Campbell as the Municipal Caur� Judge to serve during the
illness of Dave Austin. There was 3.ittle discussian that follawed and
it was the feelings of �he Council tha� an assistant judge may be
necessary in the near future. Councilm,an Dunn then made a motian to pass
� -- �and approve Resalutian No. 75-17 as read. Councilwoman Conine `>
seconded the matian and the �rtotion prevailed b�r the following vote:
yes: Tate, Conine, Dal�on, Oliver, Murphy, Dunn
Noes: Nane
The City Manager then stated that a proposed zaning ordinance had been
presented to the Council as recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commis-
sian and that this proposal would appear on a �uture agenda.
Mayor Ta�e then recagnized �he gaod work o� the Bi-Centennial Committee
headed by Councilwoman Conine. He sta�ed �hat he was very pleased wi�h
their activities. The Council �hen agreed on a date af June 16th at
6:00 P.M. as a possible date for the official celebra�ion. The City
Manager stated that he wauld find out fram the Commission is this date
was acceptable.
There was then a general di�scussion of the various commit�ees and boards
�hat has expired terms or vacancies. Mayor Tate instructed the Gity
Secretary to prepare a resolutian £or �he Utility Committee and ane for
the Cammittee for Municipal Site Selection. Mayor Tate alsa stated that
he would be forming another committee in the near future. This committee
wi.Il be a Public Relations Committe� t�-a t will act as a Iiason betwe�n
T �the Poli.ce Department and the public ta hear various comp],aints. '
There being no further business, Councilman Murphy made a motion �o
adjourn the rneeting. Cauncilman Oliver secan 'd the motion�nd all
present voted a e. The meeting was ad 'ourne at 5: 25 P.M.
