BOX ADDITION HISTORIC DISTRICT, #HL10-09, ORDINANCE #2011-58 1952 COSNAHAN HOUSE 840 EAST TEXAS STREET GRAPEVINE, TEXAS 76051 JAMES GRAVATT, OWNER This letter confirms on November 9, 2020 the Historic Preservation Commission staff approved with conditions #CA20-109 for the property addressed 840 East Texas Street, legally described as Block 5, Lot 6, D. E. Box Addition, City of Grapevine Texas. The following was approved on this Certificate of Appropriateness: 1. Remove the existing bituminous driveway paving with concrete border on west side and deteriorated concrete walkway and replace them with crushed decomposed granite driveway and new walkway to the front door of house, contained within metal edging strip; 2. Remove the existing front door and replace it with a new wood door with glass lights; 3. Install a new wood back door with glass lights; 4. Construct a new 6' high wood privacy fence, with horizontally mounted boards, attached to metal posts; metal posts to be boxed in with wood; fence to be off -set approximately 2'-0" from east property line to protect existing line of trees; 5. Remove the poorly constructed, deteriorated 1-story wood storage shed with no Foundation, in the rear yard of house; as per the attached plans and photos with the condition a permit is obtained from the Building Department. An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a building permit (is / is not required.
