The following was approved on this Certificate of Appropriateness: 1. Remove the non -original #105 wood overlay siding from house and store for reinstallation on the exterior of the house; 2. Remove the rotted original butted wood siding from the house; 3. Install a new underlayment: Thermo -ply Structural Grade Red .113" manufactured product as a base; reinstall the #105 wood siding on the exterior of the house; 4. Install wood corner boards, roof vents, exterior trim to the house; 5. Repaint the reinstalled exterior siding and trim in new paint scheme to be approved under a separate Certificate of Appropriateness; as per the attached specifications and photos with the condition a permit is obtained from the Building Department. Thermo -ply shall not be used as a nail base. Fastening Procedure: It is important to work from one side of the panel to the other. Begin fastening from the top of the panel to the bottom. Moving across the panel, attach fasteners at the top and bottom of the panel until you reach the next stud. When using staples, fasten them in a parallel direction to the stud. Continue in the same manner until the Thermo -ply panel is properly secured to the frame. In order to prevent gaps or rippling, move across from one side of the panel to the other when installing. DO NOT fasten each of the four comers first.
