A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
' Texas was held on December 2 , 1969 with the following members � :.

Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order and Councilman Benedict
gave the invocation.
City Manager Floy Ezell reported that the proposed Bear Creek
sewer plant project is ready for construction to begin as
soon as the City re¢eives authority to proceed from the Federal
�nlater Pollution Control Rgen cy, and that the proposed main
sewer plant project is ready for the taking of bids. The
� Council instructed the City Manager to proceed with the
� collection of the Bear Creek sewer pro-rata previously agreed
I on by the participating property owners an d the City.

Zoning Amendment Ordinance 69�, previously ordered by the
Council, changing property of A. C. Stone to "J & K" Industrial
was introduced and read. Councilman Benedict made a MOTION to
pass said Ordinance. Motion SEOONDED by Councilman Dalton.
Motion PREVAILED by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Dalton, Harwell, and Thompson.

RESIDENTIAL TO !.'J & K" INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT,
PROVIDING FOR AN AVIGATION fiASEMENT AND

Industrial was introdu�ced and read. Councilman Dalton made �
a MOTION to pass said Ordinan ce. Motion SECONDED by Councilman
Thompson. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Benedict, Harwell and Thompson.

introduced and read. Councilman Thompson made a MOTION to
pass said Ordinance. Motion SECOI�IDED BY Councilman Dalton. �

CERTAIN PROPERTY OF PAUL C. WHARTON TO "SPECIFIC
USE ZANING DISTRICT:" PROVIDING FOR AN AVIGATION

EASEMENT AND PROVIDING FOR AN 'ENIERGENCY. �
Fire Chief J. C. Greener was present and invited the Mayor,
�
Council, City Manager, City Attorney and City Secretary to �
the Annual Firemen' s Banquet on December 8th. �
�

The Council instructed the City Manager to have plans drawn
up on a proposed library to be built north of the Police Station.
Councilman Benedict made a MOTION that alterations and repairs �
on the Police Dept. Building be done by and under the super- �
vision of Building Inspector A� W. Brunson. Motion SECONDED
by Councilman Harwell. Motion PREVAILED by the following
vote:

Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Harwell, Eidson, Dalton & Thompson. �
Noes: None

Councilman Eidson made a MOTION that City Employees have �
Friday, December 26th off as a holiday in addition to the
regular 1/2 day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, in lieu of �
a ham or turkey as in the past. Motion SFANDED by Councilman
Harwell. Motion PREVAILED by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Dalton, Harwell, Thompson & Eidson. �

Quotations on trading two old police cars in on two new
ones were reviewed. The Council requested that Quotations
be received on outright purchase rather than the trade-in
price.
