On the 17th day of November, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. , the City Council
and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine,
p Texas met in joint meeting in the City Hall with the following
members present: .

Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order . Councilman Dalton
' gave the invocation. x

The purpose of the joint meeting was for Public Hearing on Zone
Change Application Z 70-32 on which Hunt Properties requested
11C-1" Neighborhood Business on Tracts 1 and 2 and I-1 Light
Industrial on Tract 3 . Mr. Holland and others were present and _>
Mr. Holland spoke in behalf of Hunt Properties request for change
of zoning. There was no one present in opposition to the rezoning.
Public Hearing was declared closed and persons were informed that
the Planning and Zoning Commission would make their recommendation
to the City Council.
The City Council continued to meet for the regular council meet-
ing of this date with the following members present :

The minutes of the previous,,.meeting of November 3, 1970 were
read and approved.
Dalford Todd representing Rickey Perry, spoke to the Council in
regards to the garbage and trash route work being done by Rickey.
Mr. Cecil Perry spoke to the council and asked that Rickey be f'
permitted to continue his route. The Council agreed to let z.
Rickey Perry continue his route for 30 days. The City would `
z
continue to render their regular sanitation service and to bill
customers for same in regular manner.

Mr. Max Brady of the Agora Company was present and made
a proposal to the Council to purchase the sanitation
service of the City.
Councilman Thompson made a motion to approve Zone Change
Application Z 70-31 on which H. J. Yancey requested "C-2+1
Business Zoning on second and final reading. Motion
seconded by Councilman Parker. Motion prevailed by the
l following vote: (Ordinance No. 70-46)
Ayes: Councilmen Eidson, Parker, Thompson and Dalton.
Noes: None
Councilman Eidson made a motion that the application of
l Tony Tate to move in a house in Placid Penninsula be
rejected. Motion seconded by Councilman Thompson. Motion
prevailed by the followAng vote:

Ayes : Councilmen Dalton, Eidson, Parker and Thompson.
Noes : None
The Council was in agreement to issue a certificate of
compliance to the Grapevine Mattress Factory for the
purpose of giving lights only for the protection of the
property.
The Council discussed purchase of the old bank building

and property.

Meeting adjourned.
