T. Davis , Jr. Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order . Councilman Eidson gave the invocation. , The purpose of the joint meeting was for public hearing on Zone Change Application Z 71-13 on which Dan Peters requested "C-2�' Commercial Zoning on his tract 3A in the J. R. Doss : Survey. Mr. Fred Joyce presented Case Z 71-13 to the Council and Planning& Zoning Commission and explained that the zoning change request was compatable to previous zoning changes in the area. No one voiced an objection to the zoning change. Af ter everyone was given an opportunity to speak in interest of this zoning change request, Mayor pirkle declared the meeting closed and instructed the Planning & Zoning Commission to make their recommendations to the Council at the next regular meeting. The City Council continued in session with the following members present ; Willis Pirkle Mayor Lee Thompson ) Doil Dalton ) Tommy Eidson ) Councilmen Al Harwell ) Phil parker ) Minutes of the previous meeting of May 4, 1971 were read and approved. . Councilman Dalton made a motion to pass Ordinance 71-14 on second reading. Councilman Thompson seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes : Councilmen Thompson, Dalton, Eidson, Harwell & Parker. E. AND O. D. STEWARD TO SPECIFIC USE PERMIT ZONING DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. Councilman Harwell made a motinn to grant L. R. Woodruff a � permit to move a garage and storage building on Lot l, Block 1, D. E. Box Addition. Councilman Thompson seco nded the motion. Motion prevailed by the follovPing vote: Ayes: Councilmen Thompson, Dalton, Eidson, Harwell & Parker. Noes: None Councilman Harwell made a motion to grant a permit to Fred Adams to move a storage building on his property at 3603 High Drive. Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Councilman Eidson made a motion to table the application of Darrell McDaniel to put a self service gas station at 300 W. Northwest Highway.
