CITY OF GRAPEVINE �
On the 3rd day of August 1971 at 7:30 P.M. , the City Council
of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in a regular meeting
with the following members present :
Willis Pirkle Mayor
Phil Parker )
Doil Dalton ) Councilmen
Tommy Eidson )
Councilmen Thompson and Harwell were absent.
Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Bill VanDeventer
gave the invocation.
The minutes of the meetings of July 20th and 27th were
read and approved.
Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass Ordinance 71-24
on second reading. The motion was seconded by Councilman
parker. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Eidson , Parker, and Dalton.
Noes: None.
ORDINANCE 71-24
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE RATES CHARGED
� FOR TELEPHONE SERVICE WITHIN THE CORPORATE
� LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS;
AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
Councilman Dalton made a motion to pass Resolution R71-10.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Eidson. Motion
prevailed by the following vote.
Ayes: Councilmen Eidson, Dalton, and Parker.
Noes: None.
Resolution R71-10 was a resolution authorizing the
Airport Board to close a portion of Minters Chapel Road.
Councilman Parker made a motion to pass Resolution R71-11,
a resolution amending Title 9 ,Chapter 2, Section 3 ofthe
City Code of the City of Grapevine, Texas to include a
yield sign on Forest Hills Road at Lakeridge Drive.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Dalton. The motion
prevailed by the fo1loN�ng vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Parker, and Eidson.
Noes: None.
Councilman Dalton made a motion to pass Ordinance �1-25.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Parker. Motion
prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Parker, Dalton, and Eidson.
Noes: None.
ORDINANCE 71-25
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING MOBILE SERVICE UNITS
WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE; DEFINING SAME;
PROVIDING A PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass Ordinance
- 71-26. The motion was seconded by Councilman Dalton.
Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Parker, Eidson, and Dalton. �
Noes : None.

ORDINANCE 71-26
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL PERSONS IN THE
BUSINESS OF ENTERTAINING THE GENERAL PUBLIC
AND CHARGING ADMISSION FEES TO OBTAIN A
PERMIT TO OFFER SUCH ENTERTAINMENT WITHIN
THE CITY; PROVIDING RESTRICTIONS FOR THE
ISSUANCE OF SUCH PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR
REVOCATION; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EMERGENCY.
Councilman Dalton made a motion to approve the leasing
of property from the Presbyterian Church and authorizing
the City manager to work out details of lease agreement.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Parker. Motion
prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Parker, Dalton, and Eidson.
Noes: None. '
