On the 7th day of September, 19'71 , at 7;30 P.M. , the City
Council met in regular meeting in the City Hall witka the
following members present:

Mayor Pirkle called �he meeting to order and Cauncilman
Parker gave the a.nvocation.
The minutes af the previaus meetings of August 17, 1971 and
August 24, 19'7I were read and appraved.

Rezone Application Z 71-16 an which Virgil Sanders and others
requested "C-2" Zoning on his tract of land in �Ghe Freeman `
3 Su.rvey was cansidered. The Planning & Zoning Commissian
recommended ta deny the "C-2�' Zaning, but to give a Specifi.c
Use Permit for the eonstructzon of a Hotel. Councilman Dalton
' made a motion to �able action on the request until question
on the Dunn Street dedicatian was answered. The motion died
- , from lack of a second. Councilm�n x'hompson made a motion ta
, deny �he applicata.on. Motion seconded by Councilman Harwell.
Motion prevailed by the following vate:
Ayes; Councilmen Paxker, Harwell, Eidsan and Thompson.
Noes: Cauancilman Da2ton.
The request af A. G. Peters, Jr, to place a mobile home at
715 Foxest Street was considered. The Planning and Zonin g
Comrnission recommended to approve the application. Counci2-
man Parkear made a motion to apprave the application, Motian
seconded by Councilman Ei.dsorz . Motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Parker, Harwell, Thompson, Dalton & Eidsan.
Noes. None :
Two o�her appl�.cations fox mobile hames ta be placed in the
City were reva.ewed. The Planning and Zaning Commission re-
commended to deny the applications. Ci�y Cade zequires na
action by the Council when the Planning 8c Zaning Commis�ion
recommend not ta approve mabile home applicatians .
� T�e applications were by; Babby Gaskill and Fred Beech,
� Discussion was had with Dan McKee on the possibility of the
City purchasing Mx. MeKeeTs W�ter System in the City. City
Managez wwas instructed to negoti.a��, with Mr. McKee and to
evaluate the systems and report back to the Cauncil.

Public Hearing was declared open �or the consideration of the
; City 1971-'72 pperating Budget, Persons present were given an
opportunity ta be k�eard. Ordinance 71-28 adopting �he budget
j was read. Councilman Eidsan znade a motion to appraue said
Ordinance '71-28. Motion �econded by Councilman Dalton. Motion I

prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilman Dal�on, Thompsan , P�rker, Eidson & Ha�well . '

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
OCTOBER 1 , 1971. AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, ].972:

ALL TAX�BLE PROPERTY WITHTN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY

AND PROVIDING FOR THE INVESTMENT OF IDLE FUNDS:
City Attorney Bill Tate gave a report on the Airport Code of
- rules and regulations. No action was taken.
