AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 2, SECTION
2, OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
BY ADDING STOP SIGNS AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS DESCRIBED
HEREIN; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING
A PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
�* GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
SECTION l. The City Code of Grapevine, Texas, Title 9,
� Chapter 2, Section 2, is hereby amended by adding Stop Signs
at certain locations described herein:
l. On the Northwest and Southeast side of Lakeridge
at its intersection with Forest Hill.
2. On the Northwest side of Kimble Road at its inter-
section with Lakeview Drive.
3 . On the Northeast side of Lakeridge at its inter-
section with Lakeview Drive.
SECTION 2 . If any section, sentence, phrase, word,
paragraph, or provisions of this ordinance or the application
of that section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph, or pro-
vision to any person, situatirn or circumstances is for any
reason adjudged invalid, the adjudication shall not affect
any other section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph or
provision of this ordinance or the application of any other
sectian, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph or provision
to any other person, situation or circumstances, nor shall
�""" such adjudication affect any other section, sentence, phrase,
word, paragraph or provision of the Grapevine City Code.
,� The City Council declares that it would have adopted the
valid portions and applications of this ordinance without
the invalid part, and to this end the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 3. A person, firm or corporatian violating
the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not less than
one dollar ($1.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200) .
SECTION 4. The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequai�
to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace,
and general welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Grape-
vine, Texas, creates an emergency for the immediate preser-
vation of public business, property, health, safety, and
general welfare of the public which requires that this or-
dinance shall become effective from and after the date of
its passage and it is accordingly so ordained.
