i On Tuesday night March 20, 1973 at 8:00 P.M. the City Council
� of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in regular meeting with the

j Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Councilman Dalton `
� gave the invocation. �

Councilman Eidson made a motion to approve the minutes of the
1 previous meeting as written. Councilman Tate seconded the
1 motion. The motion carried by an aye vote of all members
� present .
jCity Manager Ezell introduced Mr. Frank Medanich of First South-
� west Company who presented the bid tabulations to the Council
�' on the sale of $800,000.00 in General Obligation bonds and
$750,000.00 in Revenue bonds .

1 Councilman Eidson made a motion to accept the bid of Republic �
j National Bank of Dallas on the $800,000.00 General Obligation
� �� bonds at 5.5568 interest rate . Councilman Dalton seconded the
motion. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
jAyes : Dalton, Eidson, Parker, Conine, Pittard, Tate and Pirkle.
1 Noes : None

'� Ordinance 73-11 , an ordinance authorizing the sale of $800,000.00
�� in General Obligation bonds was introduced and read in full.
Councilman Eidson made a motion that Ordinance 73-11 be taken
� up and considered as an emergency measure. Councilman Dalton
� seconded the motion. The motion prevailed by the following vote:

Ayes: Eidson, Parker, Conine, Pittard, Tate , Pirkle and Dalton.
Noes: None
Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass Ordinance 73-11 . Council-
; man Pittard seconded the motion. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
� Ayes: Parker, Conine, Pittard, Tate, Pi���kle , Dalton and Eidson.
; Noes: None
� Councilman Tate made a motion to accept the bid of First of Texas ,
Inc. and McClung and Knickerbocker, Inc. on the $750,000.00
Revenue Bonds at 5.7227� interest rate . Councilman Dalton
seconded the motion. The motion prevailed by the following vote:

Ordinance 73-12 , an ordinance authorizing the sale of
$750 ,000.00 in revenue bonds vdras introduced and read in full .
Councilman Tate made a motion that Ordinance 73-12 be taken up
and considered as an emergency measure. Councilman Dalton
seconded the motion. The motion prevailed by the following
vote:

Noes : None

Cliff Davidson and Charlie Winters , Planning Manager for Tarrant �
z County was present and spoke to the council regarding the comprehen- �
sive plan for Tarrant County. Also Mr. Jim Delashaw of the Depart-
t ment of Community Affairs in Austin spoke to the council about the �
� grant money for the comprehensive study for the local communities .
Resolution R73-7, a resolution setting forth the time for administer- �
� ing the oath of office to newly elected city officials was introduced �
and read. Councilman Dalton made a motion to pass Resolution R73-7. �
Councilwoman Conine seconded the motion. The motion prevailed by the
following vote: �

� Ayes : Eidson, Parker, Conine, Pittard, Tate, Pirkle and Dalton.
� Noes : None

r Resolution R73-6 , a resolution authorizing $3,000.00 exemption on
� ho�nesteads of persons 65 years of age or older was introduced and �

_ read. �
