On the 2nd day of September, 1969, at 7:30 P.M. � the City
Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in regular
meeting at the City Hall with the following members present:

Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order and Councilman
Thompson gave the invocation.
The minutes of the previous meeting of August 19, 1969 were
read and approved.
Mrs. Corliss Davis was present and requested permission to
allow bicycle parking on the sidewalk in front of her Hobby
Shop on Main Street. No action was taken pending further
investigation of the matter, including the possibility of
using the automobile parking space in front of the building
for said bicycle parking. �`

Zoning Application 69-23 on which Jackie Keener requested
"C & D" Multiple Dwelling on his property on Scribner Street
was considered. The Plar�ning & Zoning Commission recommended
"g" Dwelling for said application. Councilman Eidson made a ,
MOTION to accept the Planning & Zoning Commission recommenda- �
tion and to pass Ordinance 69-33 officiating the change.
Motion SECONDED by Councilman Dalton. Motion PREVAILED by
� the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Thompson, Ha�w�ll and Benedict &Eidson.
Noes: None
ORDINANCE 69-33
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE�
TEXAS� SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING DISTRICTS
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF JACKIE KEENER FROM "A" �
RESIDENTIAL TO trg" RESIDENTIAL AND PROVIDING
FOR A SRV�iCTGS CLAUSE.
Zoning Application 69-24 on which Pablo Sustitia requested
"J & K" Industrial on his lots 6 & 7, Block 2, Hilltop Addition
was considered. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended .
to disapprove the application; however would reconsider if �
all the pr�perty owners in the area approve. Councilman
Dalton made a MOTION to accept the �-ecommendation of the �
Planning & Zoning Commission. Motion SECONDED by Councilman
Thompson. Motion PREVAILED by the following vote: �

Ordinance 69-29 was read on second reading. Councilman
Eidson made a MOTION to p ass said ordinance on second an d
final reading. Motion SECONDED by Councilman Benedict.
Motion PREVAILED by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Thompson, Benedict, Eidson & Harwell.
Noes: None

DITIONAL; RECOGNIZING SHOOTING RANGE, RESTRICT_
ING EXPANSION OF SHOOTING RANGE, AND PROVIDING
FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
As instructed by the City Council, City Attorney, Bob Scofield

requiring gas an d electric lines not be more than 200 feet be-
yound the point of inetering. Councilman Eidson made a MOTION
to pass said Ordinance 69-34 on emergency basis. Motion
SECONDED by Councilman Harwell. Motion PREVAILED by the
ifollowing vote:

� DECLARING AN EMERG�NCY.

iProposed Ordinance 69-32, providing for an agreement between
! the City and the State Highway Department auttiorizing traffic

signals on Main @ Wall and College was introduced and read.
I Councilman Harwell made a MOTION to pass said Ordinance 69-32.

� The Grapevine Recreation Club requested to remain open on

Sundays until 10 P.M. No action was taken.
� Mr. Tip Johnson was present and requested the Council to void
� or destroy the two traffic citations he received from our �',
ipolice department on July 5, 1969. It was explained to Mr. �
Johnson that the Corporation Court Judge is the office of ,
authority on the matter, and that he may contact him if he ;
wishes.

proper authority of the St. Louis & Southwestern Railroad �
_ and request them to come to Grapevine and give more informa- �;
