APRIL 18, 1967
A re�gular meeting of the Grapevine City Council was held on April
18, 1967. Members present were Mayor Woods and Councilmen Benedict,
Huber, Dalton and Foust. Councilman Pirkle arrived at 8:50 P.P�.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
117 A public hearing of the Grapevine Planning and Zo�ing Commission
was held on this date for the purpose of consideration of Zoning
Change Request 67-5 on which Alton Corbin requested '�E" Modified
Residentfal District 2oning 3n place of "A't Residential on his ,
acreage in the A11en Survey. Motion by Councilman Dalton, secon-
ded by Councilman Benedict te deny the request as per the recom- �
mendation of the Planning and 2oning Commission. Motion carried E .
• by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Huber Dalton and Foust.
There were no noes.
131 A public hearing was held for the purpvse of giving ir�terested
persons arl opportunity to be heard prior to the institutiorl of
aranexation proceedirtgs covering all. territory South of the St.
�ewis and Southuvestern Railrcad, West of Minters Chapel Road as
extended North to said railroad, North of County Road 3036 (Glade
'�� Road) arld East of Farm Road 157, Except all previously annexed
land lyir�g within the cotlfines of the above described property.
. Several persons were present to express their approval and dis-
approval.
271� The replat of Lots 1& 2, Block 7 ir� the Grapevine Lake Estates,
:�.�d ot�rned by G. Lee Perry was reviewed. Motior� by Councilraar�
Fo�ast , seconded by Councilman Pirkle to approve the replat per
the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Motion carried by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict , Pirkle, Huber,
Da.lton and Foust. There were rto noes.
Z$5 Mr. Claret�ce Herndon and Mrs. Edith Tillery were present te out-
� line to the Council their dissatisfaction of the operation of the
� City Police Department.
� 347 Attorney Charles Schields and party, represerltating various gravel �
� trucking compar�ies was presertt to request the Cpuncil to recend
Ordinance 67-3 which requires tarpaulins on certin trucks. After
discussion it was agreed that the City wi11 keep the ordinance in
effect, but will minimize the enforcement of it to give the truckers
an opportunity to comply with new regulatior�s being put in effect
by the Concrete Irtdustr'ies Board. These new regulations are d.esigned
� to minimize hazards created from falling & flying objects from
i Gravel. Trucks.

i 505 Bill Reed was present irl place of Mr. E. D, Reed to present Mr.
Reed �s proposal to the City in Connection with furnishing a water
supply and distrubition system for parts of the Grapevine Lake
i Estates area. It was decided Mr. Reed will have to furnish these
facilities without financial assistance from the City as it is
not practical at this time for the City to participate.
; 616 Mr. Joe Paul Jones of Freese, Nichols and Endress was presEnt to
' discuss with the Council some of the details involved in updatino
� the City�s Master Plan. Motion by Councilman Pirkle , seconded by
I Councilman Huber to ask Freese , Nichols and ENdress to submit a
formal proposal or� uj�dating the City�s Master Plarl. Motion carried
; by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and
� Foust. There were no noes.
787 Annexation Petition of L. B. Bowen v!r s reviewed and nrdinance 67-12
was read. Motion by Councilman. Huber, seconded by �Councilman Foust
� to pass and adopt Anttexatior� Ordinance No. 67-12. Motion carried
by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Foust.
There were na noes.

AN ORDINANCE .RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY �
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF GR.APEVINE,
TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT THE AREA DESCRIBED BELOW
SHALL BECOME A PART OF THE SA I D CI TY AND THHT THE
OWNERS AND THE INHABITAN'TS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED
TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITI2ENS OF SAID CITY
AND BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDIIVANCES NOW IN ,EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPTED: FURTHER PROVIDING FOR
AMENDII�dG AND CORRECTIPY'r'i THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF
A�ID CITY HERETUFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND CON-
TAINING A SAVING CLAUSE:
869 Mayor Woods and Councilmen Dalton� at�d Huber took the oath of office
consequent of the April 4th election.
