E,,.l s�d`L A regtzlar meeting of the City Council was held on June 20, 1967.
oQ'` Members present were Mayor Woods and Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle ,
Huber, Dalton and Foust.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
�ZS Motion by Co�incilman Benedict, seconded by Councilman Dalton to app-
rove the request of Bill Millican to move a small house in on his
property as shown on his application for permit. Motion carr�,ed by
a yes vote by Courtcilmen Benedict , Pirl�le , Huber, Dalton and aust.
There were no noes.
�3� Motion by Cnuncilman Foust, seconded by CoUricilman Benedict to approve �
the request of Mrs June Eli to move the old Starr House to her
property at 400 W. l�►all, with the house to be up-graded to meet city
requirements. Motioi� carried by a yes vote by Council.m�n Benedict,
Pirkle , Huber, Dalton and Foust. There were no noes.
I�I 1� public hearing was held on this date for the purpose of consideration
of re-zoning a 25 acre tract of land owned by the Grapevine 5chool
I District in the Doo1�y 5urvey, and the Planning and Zoning Commission
( recammended to rezone the land as requested on application 67-10.
� �y� Motion by Councilman Pirkle , seconded by Councilman Benedict to
� Rezone the twenty five acre tract of land in the Dooley Survey and
� owned by the Grapevirle School District from "A" Residential District
� to "H" Business District, and to pass Ordinance Number 67-18 enacting
the change. Motion carried by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle ,
Hube r, Da.ltorl and Foust. There were no noes.

Ordinance 67-19 on first reading. Motion carTied by a yes vote

Benedict, seconded by Councilman Pirkle to pass Resolution R67-6
complying with the request. Motion carried .by a yes vote by Council-
merl Benedict, Pirkle , Huber, Da2�on and Foust. Thare were no �oes.

Proposed Truck Route Ordinance No. 67-20 was read and discussed. �
Motion by Councilman Benedict, seconded by Councilmart Pirkle �
to Pass Ordinance 67-20 on first reading. Motion carried by
a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Dalton, Huber and Foust.
There were no noes.

� RESOLUTION R67-6
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , ADOPTED AT A
REGULAR MEETING ON JUNE 20 , 1967
WHEREAS it has been called to the attention of the City
Council of Grapevine, Texas , and the members thereof have
observed, that there is a tract of land approximately 33
feet in width and 655 feet in length iri the City of Grapevine,
in Tarrant County, Texas , which adjoins Walnut Street on
the South and extends from the East right of way line of
� Ruth Street to the West right of way line of Eckley Street.
� The East 345 feet of this tract is owned by the First Presbyterian
j Church of Grapevine and the West 309 feet is owned by William
� Wilkerson and Thomas M. French, Jr. , and
�
WHEREAS this tract of land has a light course of asphalt
surfacing which was placed on same to make it possible for . ;
this private property to be used as parking area for the
convenience of persons attending Memorial Baptist Church,
' First Presbyterian Church and sporting events at the Grapevine
High School Stadium, and �
WHEREAS the City of Grapevine has declined to accept
dedication of any of this tract of land for street purposes ,
and
. WHEREAS the City of Grapevine recognizes that this land
! is privately owned and such city is concerned lest some confusion
develops as to the ownership and responsibility for maintenance,
and
WHEREAS the owners of said property have evidenced a
desire to erect barriers at each end of the tract in order
to put all persons on notice that the property was and is
;; for private use only, and
a WHEREAS , the City of Grapevine and the owners of such
� property are concerned that there might be some accidents
=�, resulting from the erection of such barriers , and

� � V�HEREAS , the City of Grapevine desires to certify that
it had not accepted dedication of said tract as a public
roadway, that the same remained private property and would
remain so notwithstanding the fact that for the convenience
of patrons of the school and adjacent churches that the property
owners had permitted the same to be used for parking, that �
. the city had requested that the property owners not erect
barricades at each end of said tract so that parking might
� be raore comfortably continued in the area, and that the failure
to erect said barricades would not in any way to effect by
usage the dedication of said area as a public way.
Now therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Grapevine, Texas , sitting . in regular session, f
that it recognizes that it has not accepted dedication of the `
above mentioned tract as a public roadway, that it recognizes
that� the same is and has remained private property and will
remain so notwithstanding the fact that for the convenience
, of patrons of the school and adjacent churches that the
property owners have in the past and will in the future permit
the same to used for parking, that it recognizes that it has ;
requested the property owners to not erect barricades `
� at each end of said tract so that parking might be more
comfortably continued in the area, that it recognizes that :

Passed and adopted by unanimous vote of all members
