Minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read. Discussion was given on the enforcement of trucks hauling gravel without a cover and 3o0se3.ng rocks onto cars and the highway. The Council instructed the City Manager to wrtte a letter to the Chief of Police informing him him that he is expected to see that � � more reasonable and active enforcement of all city ordinances be put into effe�t iminediately. , I�� 107 A motion by Councilman Benedict, seconded by Councilman Huber to i approve Jackie Kgeners request to move a house from W. Dallas Rd. to N. Scribner Street if all the buildung regulations are complied with. Discussion was given on a fee of $1.00 to be charged for Garbage � pick-up services to all residences that are connected to the water �� system. A motion by Councilman Benedict, seconded by Councilaan Dalton ta pass Resolution R67-7 determining the population of Grapevine as of June 1, 1967, to be 6938. Motion carried by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalto n and Foust voting yes with no noes. RE50L[T.0 ION R67-7 � A RESOLUTION MAKING OFFICIAL FINDING AND DTERMI- � NATIbTN AS TO THE POPULATION AND NtR�IBER OF INHABITAIVTS OF AND WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE� TEXAS, AS OF JUNE 1, 1967. Discussion was given about hiring a radio dispatcher to work from 5 :00 P.M. to Midnight six days a week or to arrange a schedule that will work out wtth the Police and Fire Department empfioyees.that will be best for the city. A motion by Councilman Dalton, seconded by Councilman Piikle to add one additional Police dispatcher. Motion carried' by Councilmen Foust, Dalton, Huber, Piikle and Benedict v oting yes with no noes. Discussion was given and figures presented to the council on the number of calls made to our base station and dispatchers. City of Grapevine Fire and Poiice calls totaled 436 - Southlake Police and Fire Depattments totaled 130. This is the number of calls in about a weeks time. City Manager was instructed to write a letter to Southlake City Council advising them due to the time that is spent by our dispatchers in doing work for their Pblice and Fiee Depart.ment has contributed to the City of Grapevine havang to employ one additional Dispatcher. The City of Grapevine will expect the City of Southlake to ��cil�c� � �hare part of this expense and feel that to be fair that the City of � Southlake pay the expense of one dispatcher to the City. By doing this the City of Southlake and the City of Gr�oevine will have 24 hour dispatcher service. No further business meeting adjourned. � � � 1 «-.� M ayor C�y �ecretary �
