Whereas, the City Council is desireous of making the City of
Grapevine a safer place in which to live and travel, and
Whereas, there is an ever increasing need for certain traffic

con�rol devices at certain intersections within the corporate
limits, and,
�_--_� Whereas, much study and thought has been given to these
problems by the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE� TEXAS� THAT:
Section 1. An addition to Title 9, Chapter 2, Section 3 of
the City Code that a Yield-Right-Of-Way sign be erected at
the following intersection to indicate that persons proceeding
on the street must slow down to a speed reasonable for the
existing conditions, or shall stop if necessary, and shall
yield the right of way to any pedestrian legally crossing
the roadway on which he is driving, and to any vehicle in
the intersection or approaching on another highway before
proceeding into or through the intersection.
A. On East College at Dooley Street.
Section 2. The authority for the erection of the foregoing
sign and the enforcement of the regulations therein represented
has been vested in the City Council by the City of Grapevine
Ordinance No. 54-8 passed and approved the 2nd day of March,
' 1954.
Section 3. This resolution, not being a penal ordinance in
itself need not be published to be effective and is effective
upon the passage by the City Council and the erection of the
aforementioned signs.
