AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR CONNECTING TO
THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING j

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPE- �

VINE, TEXAS: :

SECTION l, Hereafter,When ver any real estate developer, builder, ,
ro ert owner or an other erson desires that a sanitary sewer line or '

lines on private property be connected with the sanitary sewer system of
the City of Grapevine, Texas, that the City of Grapevine will charge the
following fees for making said connections:
A. When the nearest sanitary sewer line is within the right-
of-way of a first class asphalt or concrete street, the fee is TWO HUNDRED

TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($225, 00).

B, When the nearest sanitary sewer line is within the right-
of-way of a gravel or otherwise unimproved street, the fee is ONE HUNDRED
SIXTY DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($160. 00).
These fees are based on a total right-of-way width of fifty (SO') feet
with twenty-eight (28) feet of driving surface. Whenever conditions exist
which make either the right-of-way or the driving surface wider or narrower,
said fee shall be adjusted proportionately.
SECTION 2, This ordinance repeals those provisions and only those
provisions of all ordinances in conflict with the provisions hereof,
SECTION 3, Any person who makes or causes to be made a connection

to the sanitary sewer system of the City of Grapevine� Texas, without paying
the above established fee shall be in violation of the provisions of this ordinance
and upon conviction of said violation shall be fined not less than One Dollar
($l. 00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00) and each day any
violation of non-compliance continues shall constitute a separate mffense.
SECTION 4, It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council of the City of Grapevine that the sections, paragraphs, sentences,
clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable and any phrase, clause,
'�` '" sentence, paragraph or section hereof should be declared unconstitutional,
�`� such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining
phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections of this ordinance,
since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the
incorporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional or invalid
phrase, sentence, clause, paragraph or section.
SECTION 5. The fact tha� the present ordinances and regulations of
the City of Grapevine are inadequate to control sanitation within the corporate
limits of the City of Grapevine, creates an emergency for the immediate
preservation of the public business, property, health, safety and general
welfare of the public which requires that this ordinance shall become effective
� xi from and after the date of its passage as provided by the Charter of the City
� of Grapevine and it is accordingly so ordained,
