SOLVED THAT:
e 61kpE04/9 Junior Chamber of Commerce always has stepped forward in the
defense of freedom because we believe oppression and wars against free men anywhere
constitute a threat to the life and liberty of free men everywhere. Our nation is now
engaged in the defense of freedom in Viet Nam where the God given rights of free men are
threatened by Communist subversion and aggression. The G R R pE j///t/ .- Jaycees are
young men who believe:
1. That to protect our own rights, we must always fight for the rights of
others, especially when they ask for our help because no man can be
completely free as long as another man is enslaved.
2. That to achieve total victory over Communist aggression it is some-
times necessary to use force as well as diplomatic resources.
3.. That responsible action in Viet Nam using military force, diplomacy,
and all other public and private resource to protect these principles
is for the ultimate benefit of all,freedom loving people.
We are proud to inform the citizens of ''- R? PE J///1/E" , Texas, that the
attitude of young men is a positive one for freedom of all peoples everywhere.

PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, it is especially fitting at this time that each of us, as citizens of this great
Nation, recognize the forces that impair our support for freedom.
WHEREAS, within the past few weeks we have seen incredible actions taken by young
demonstrators in our country, marching against freedom and protesting the efforts of the
U. S. Government to stop the spread of Communism in Viet Nam.
WHEREAS, it is our inherent duty and responsibility to take positive action to uphold our
beliefs and convictions . • eserving
