ANT) POSE E. GARDINER The next item of new business was for the -Building Board of Appeals to consider BRA 89-03, suhrratted by Mr. Jeffery C, are,- Rose E. Gardiner who are requesting a variance from the Grapevine Code of Ordinance, Article IV, Fences, Section 7-125, rear yard requiren-ents, which requires fencing in rear yards, in the "R-7.5", Single Family Zoning District, be no higher than eight feet. This variance is for their residence located at 391-3 Meadow Drive. Greg Wheeler explained to the Board the. Gardiner's rear property slops off tremendously and there is no privacy for either the Gardirers or their neighbors in: the rear. Mx. Wheeler asked the Board that if they grant the- variance, to have a stipulation that the- section that exceeds the 8 foot. height, limit, be engineered for 20 1b. per square foot wind load. -Mr. Gardiner questioned the fence being engineered over 8 foot. Mr. Wheeler explained about the wind load being a factor for having the fence engineered approved. With no one else to speak, either for or against the request, H. J. Harper made a ration to grant the variance with approved engineering for the fence per the City Staff's reconmendation. Elbert Bailey seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Lipscomb, Harper, Gordon, Bailey, Czapanskiy Nays: None Absent: None BBA 89-04, MR. JOE WRTGHT- The last item of new business was for the Building Board of Appeals to consider BRA 89-04, submitted by Joe Wright requesting a variance from Grapevine Code. of Ordinances, Article IV. Fences, Sections 7-125, 7-126 and 7-127, Pertaining to height restrictions of fences for the rear, side, and front yards. This request is for enhancing the ertrEmay to Winding Creek Phase 11. After fu--ther discussion, Greg Czapanskiy made a mtion to grant the variance.
