Woods Mayor �_4 G. S. Benedict ) Willis Pirkle ) Herbert Huber ) Councilmen I� Doil Dalton ) ' Lee Thompson ) . Floy Ezell ) City Manager Jim Hancock ) City Secretary All members being present, the following business wa's transacted: � The invocation was given by Councilman Huber. � The minutes of the previous meeting of April 2, 1968 were read, � and after corrections, approved. � I. Mayor Woods told three citizens from the newly annexed Shorecrest Acres that the final decision of the Council on the building and I zoning question in that area is that Mr. Perry. will remove the ( four prefabricated buildings and the trailer houses located on Lot 19, from the area; and he will be allowed to build luxury type apartments on Lots 12, 13, 16, South 65 ' of 17, 19, 32 and 33. All construction will be required to be in conformity with City building regulations. II. Mr. Wade Cummings was present to discuss his mobile home park plan with the Council. III. Mr. H. C. Martin and son were present to discuss their proposed mobile home park with the Council. IV. City Manager Floy Ezell reported to the Council that Grapevine School District representatives informed him that they will participate 1/2 in the cost of extending an 8" water line to the new school site, with a refunding provision on the pro=rata basis. Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION for the City to partici- pate with the Grapevine School District, 1/2 in the cost of an 8" water line extension to the East property lin� of the new school_ site on the pro-rata basis and the school to pap the entire cost of th¢ line along the frontage of the school property. Councilman Dalton seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson. Noes : None � V. Ordinance 68-8, abandoning an alley, was read on second and final reading. Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION to pass said Ordinance on second and final reading. Councilman Dalton seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson. Noes: None i � i i �� i � i � I � � .., r. �� ���: ORDINANCE 68-8 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY SITUATED IN THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF GRAPEVINE BETWEEN LOTS 8 AND 9, BLOCK 33. VI. The final plat of A1 Mikusek' s subdivision of Lot 9, Block 33, Town of Grapevine was considered. Councilman Benedict made a MOTION to approve said final plat. Councilman Pirkle seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson. Noes : None VII. Zoning Amendment Ordinance 68-9 was read on second and final reading. Councilman Dalton made a MOTION to pass said Ordi- nance on second and final reading. Councilman Huber seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevailed by the .following vote: Ayes: Councilmen B�nedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson. Noes : None ORDINANCE 68-9 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE ZONING MAP OF � THL CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,,., SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING DISTRICTS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF GRAPEVINE �'` DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, INC. FROM "A" RES IDENTIAL DWELLING TO "F" CENTRAL BUSINESS AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. VIII. Abandonment of alleys was discussed. Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION to abandon the alley off Worth Street. between Lots 2 and 3, Block 34, Town of Grapevine. Councilman Benedict seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson. Noes: None IX. Proposed Resolution R68-3, expressing the City' s appreciation for the services rendered by J. E. Foust, Jr. as Councilman, Place 3 was int�oduced and read in full. Councilman Huber made a MOTION to adopt said resolution. Councilman Benedict seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson. Noes: None X. Proposed subdivision amending Ordinance 68-10 was introduced and read in full. Councilman Pirkle made a MOTION to pass said Ordinance on the emergency basis, and place the passage on its second and final reading. Councilman Benedict seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson. Noes: None ORDINANCE 68-10 i AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 19 OF THE CITY CODE OF . THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, TO - INCLUDE TRAILER COACH PARK DEVELOP- MENT WITHIN THE REGULATIONS PER- TAINING '�':p SUB-DIVISIONS, AND DE- • CLARING AN EMERGENCY. � � s�s �. XI. Parking problems around the high school were discussed. Action on this matter was deferred pending a more thorough study. � XII: The final plat of the Reed Addition to Grapevine Lake Estates, oc,� lZj Section 5 was reviewed. Councilman Benedict made a MOTION to approve said plat. Councilman Pirkle seconded the MOTION. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson. Noes: None XIII,�ouncilman Huber made a MOTION to appoint Councilman Willis Pirkle as Mayor Pro-tem. Councilman Thompson seconded the MOTION.
