S. Benedict ) Floy Ezell City Manager � Jim Hancock City Secretary Mayor Woods called the meeting to order and Councilman Thompson gave the invocation. Bob Nichols of Freese, Nichols & Endress , the City' s consult- ing Engineers was present to discuss the City's application to the H. U. D. Agency for federal assistance in capitol improvements , and water and sewer improvements in connection with developing the City' s master plan. � � � Councilman Huber made a MOTION to authorize Mayor Woods to sign an application to the Water Pallution Board for an in- crease in the amount of sewage treatment plant effluent. MOTION seconded by Councilman Dalton. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: � � � Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Huber, Dalton & Thompson. � Noes : None � z Councilman Benedict made a MOTION to authorize a 5 pound � canned ham for the City employees Christmas rememberance. MOTION seconded by Councilman Huber. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Thompson, Dalton, Huber & Benedict. Noes: None € Counc�lman Dalton made a MOTION to authorize City Manager Floy Ezell to spend up to $3 .00^afor s Christmas rememberanceS for the Volunteer Firemen. MOTION seconded by Councilman � Huber. MOTION prevailed by the following vote: � � � Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Huber , Benedict & Thompson. � Noes: None � The need for increasing reconnect charges for delinquent water, sewer and sanitation bills was discussed, and pro- posed Ordinance 68-37 amending the City Code was review�d. This revision will provide for a 10% of the gross bill but not less than a $5.00 fee to be added to the bill, for service being discontinued because of non-pay. ,:: - ,�. � � 1 � ; ; - � ; Councilman Huber made a MOTION to pass said Ordinance 68-37.
