, � 260 A regular meeting of the Grapevine C�ty Council was held on
January 17, 1967. Members present were Councilmen Pirkle,
Huber, Dalton and Foust. Mayor Woods and Councilman Berledict
were absen.t. Mayor pro-tem Pirkle presided in the absence _
of Mayor Woods.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.�
At�tornies Art Clifton and Dave Austin, who are opening law
offices in Grapevine were present to meet the Council arzd
sit in on the meeting.
293 Bill Reed and Joe Box of the Chamber of Commerce, ar�d Tom
French and Warren Dearing of the Grapevine School District
were present to discuss with the Council the possibility of
engaging the services of alabf�yist in Austin to look after
the interests of the City ar�d �chool District in cor�nection
with the context of the proposed Airport Authority Bill which
will be acted on by the State Legislature durir�g the current
session. It was decided that a committee consisting of Joe
Box of the Chamber of Commerce, Wi11is Pirkle of the City
Counc3l and Mike Taylor of the School District will go to
Austin Thursday, January 19 to make corznections in this regard.
51� On this date a public hearing was hel.d by the Planning and
Zor�ing Board for the consideration of Application No. 66-27,
which requests "J'� & "Kt' Industrial District Zor�ing in place
of tne "A" Residet�tial Dwelling District it now carries, on
a 35.47 Acre tract of land o�,�vned by Fred Woodell arid located
in the Northwest corner of the J. C. Dunn- Survey. MOTION
by Councilman Da.lto�, seconded by Coui�cilman Huber to accept
the Planr�ing and Zoning Board ts recommer�dation to grar�t the
request, ar�d to adopt Ordinance No. 67-1, enacting the change.
Mot3on carried by a yes vote by Coun cilmen Huber, Dalton and
Foust. There were no noes.

to appoint W. K. Stewart Electiot� Judge for the City Election

558 City Manager Floy Ezel� , as requested by the Lions Club, explained
to tne Council the Lions Club plan to encourage property owners
to curb a�d gutter their propert3es a�d to participate in a
general beautificatio� program. The Council agreed this is a
worthwhile project and the Lions Club will have the support of
the Council.
