The City Council met in a call session on the Above date those
memebers present are as fol lows : Mayor w`oods, �ounci lmen Parkar ,
Vandeventer, Pirkle and Benedict. Councilman Huber being absent.
A motion by Councilman Pirkle , seconded by Councilman Benedict to
institute an annexation Ordinance , to be published in the local
newspaper having general circulation in the city and in the territory :
proposed to be annexed , for a public hearing to be held at the,
City Hallin said City on the 15th day of February, 1966, at 7 :30 P.rJI.
O �Clock . The tracts of land are as follows: American Petrofina Co.
(Fina) and the Continental Oil Company ( Conoco) properties in the
C. �. Al!cDor.ald and Decker Surveys, also in the �ecker, �,?cDonald and
Splane Su�rveys adjacent to Fina and Conoco the St. Louis
Southwestern �ailroad right-of-way. Also beginning at the West
right-of-way line of Ball Street and its intersection with the
north right-of-way line of the St. Louis South�restern Railroad ,
thence in a �southa�esterly direction along the north riaht-of-way
line of the railroad to its intersection with the west right-of-way
line of SH Huy 11�., thence in a southeasterly direction along the
east right-of-way line of the SH Hwy 11�. to its intersecti �n with
: 'i Hwy 157 , thence in a north easterly direction along the west ;
; right-of-way line of the Hwy 157 to the place of beginning. Also
beginning at the south right-of-way Iine of east Wall str2et and
its intersection wLth SH Busine�s Route 114, thence in a westerly
direction along the south right-of-way line of r.sst Wall street to
east line of the Box additior� to the City of Grapevine , thence south
along the east line of the Box �^:ddition to the South riaht-of-way
line of the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad , same being the east
City Limits of the City. thence east along the South right-of-way
line of the 5t. Louis Southv�estern Railroad to a point 501 from
said West right-of-way line of SH Hwy Business Route 11�}., Thence
South along the �est line of a 2 acre trect of land more or less
to a corner, thence east to the �east right-of-way line of SH
Hwy Business 111�, thence in a northerly dfrection to the intersection
of East Wall street and SM Hwy 12�., thence west to the place of be-
ginning. I�4otion carried by Counci lmert Benedict, Pirkle , Parker
and Vandeventer vot3ng yes with no noes.
Discussion was given on the tax valuation for the ne�tily annexed ,
territory.
Discussion was given on the proposed buildirzg permit request
submitted by P�?r. Bill Ratliff on Lot lI in the Dooly Survey, of
which the lot is zoned for "A" Dwellfng but the council considered
issueing a conditional permit to construct an office building ff
the building complies with all the city ordinances and the Fire
Zone requirements �r this area and if the building is completed
within 6 months from the date of the issuance of the buil@ing
permit, also the building is to be built as per plans that have
been submitted and is on file in the City Secretary �s office.
