A regula r meeting of the City Council was held on the above date .
Those present were �l�yor Woods, and Councilmen; Benedict, Pirkle,
Vandeventer, a nd Foust. Councilman Huber was Absent.
City Man ager Floy Ezell read a letter from Mr. W. L. Brewer of
Tarrant County Health Department outlining their requirements,
which concur with those of tlle Industrial il�aste llivists�n of
the State Health De�aarem�nt, on the amount of Chromic acid which
may be discharged into the City' s sewer collection systern by
Electro Coatings, Inc. this letter being the requiremant of
the City before a building permit can be issued to the pl�ting
fi.r���.
City Manager Floy Ezell read a letter of resignation from Council-
r�an C. W. Vandeventer stating he is moving his residence out
of the City limits disqualifies him to serve. Councilman Foust
motioned to regretfully accept I�1r. Vandeventer's resignation
and that it be recorded that the City appreciates his services
very much. Motion seconded by councilman Pirkle and carried by
a yes vote by Couiicilmen Benedict, Pirkle , and �'oust. Mayor
Woods presented �1r. Vandeventer with a certificate of appreciation
for his valuable and distuinguished service.
f3uddy Decterich w�s present to represent the P.T.A. and to dis-
cuss some ot the traffic problems around Cannoz� School and
the four cross-wallcs that ctlildren use in �;oing to and from school.
Councilman Pirkle motioned to pass Resolution Number R66-8, pro-
hibiting parking on West College from Drexel Street to Ridge
Road during the hours of 7: 30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. , r4onday through
Fziday; also for the placement ot a stop sinh on Vine Street
f or the traffic comming on to S. Main.

The Council agreeded to cooper ate with the School and the PTA
in finding someone to put out an d take up Speed Limit Signs,
furnished by the High way �epartment, at the four crosswalks
students will be using in going to an d from schoo�.
City Manager Floy Eze11 read a letter from Doctor Pittard
resigning from the position of Director of Civel Defense. .
Resignation acce�ted on a motion by Louncilman Pirkle and
carried bya yes vote ry Councilmen 13enedict , Pirkle , and 1'oust.
There were no noes.
Misters Agan and Taylor were present to discuss getting a per-
• mit to operate a recreation center on hlain Street. The Council
instruc.ted IGI�. Ezell to check with some o���the neighboring
cities to see wh at type control they have on this type husiness.
F3i11 Reed of Reed and �on Real Estate was present to awnser any
questions the Council mibht have regarding the annexation of
the Adams-Egelston 10 acre tract. Councilman 13enedict motioned
� to adopt Ordinan ce Number 66-28, annexing this property into ;
the Lity.

Mc�tion secanded by Cauncilman Foust and Carried by a yes vote
by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle , and Foust. There were na noes.
Councilman Pirkle motianed to accept Wooc�ie SimmonsT resignation
fram the Plannang and Zaning Baard. Motion secorzded by Councilmazi
B�nedict and Carried by a yes vote by �-ouncilmen Benedict, Pirkle
and i�oust. There were no n4es.
Councilma.n )?irkle motioned to appaint Howard Parsley to the F1an-
ning and Zonin�; Board to fill Woodie Simmans° unexpired ter m.
Motion seconded by Councilman Foust and carried by a yes vote
by Councilmen k�ous� , Pirkle and Benedict.
Councilma.rt �3enedict mc�tioned to approve the portion of the Gorbin
plat containing Lats number 1 through 5� as a nora-confn��in�
land use. h9otion seconded by Cauncilma�� Foust and carried by a
yes vote by Councilmen Foust, Pirkle , a.nd �3en�dict. There were `
no noes.
The Council decided tYiat the City will continue the existing
City policy in regards to dain,g work an private property
with the City equipment.
