The City Council met in regular session on October 18, 1966.
Those present were Mayor Woods, and Councilmen: Foust, Dalton
Huber, Pirkle and Benedict.
MOTION by Councilman Foust to adopt Resolution Number R66-9
which is captioned as follows:
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE BOUNDRIES OF TELEPHONE RATE
ZONE AS DESCRIBED BY THE SOUTHWESTERN STATES TELEPHONE
COMPANY.
Motion seconded by councilman Pirkle and passed by a yes 'vote
by Councilmen Foust, Dalton, Huber, Pirkle and Benedict. there
were no noes.
MOTION by Councilman Pirkle to adopt Ordinance Number 66-33
which is captioned as follows:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 60-16,
ESTABLISNING A SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE FOR LOCAL EXCHANGE TELEPHONE SERVICE
Motion seconded by Councilman Foust and passed by a yes vote
by Councilmen Foust, Huber, Pirkle, Dalton and Benedict.
There were no noes.

MOTION by Councilman Benedict to adopt Ordinance Number 66-34
which is captioned as follows:
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CODIFICATION OF THE GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE: PROVIDING FOR THE ADOP—
TION OF THE CITY CODE OF GRAPEVINE: PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL
OF ALL GENERAL ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED THEREIN: PRODIDING
FOR EXCEPTIONS TO SAID APPEAL: PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF SAID CITY CODE, AND PROVIDING AN EMERGENCY.
Motion secondl by Councilman Pirkle and passed by a yes
vote by Councilmen oust, Dalton, Huber, Pirkle and Benedict.

Mayor Woods discussed with the Council a letter from Bob
Nichols of Freese, Nichols and Endress, the Cityts Consulting
engineers, informing Dr. Woods that Dawn Lane and the Western
portion of Easy Street do not meet the requirements of the
Cityfs ordinance on the construction of streets. It was de—
cided that the Mayor will contact the Contractor in regards
to securing an extention of the warrenty, and to assume a
wait#, and see attitude as recommended by Mr. Nichols in his
letter.
City Manager Floy Ezell gave a report on prices and information
on a tractor—loader with trailer which could be used in
connection with a sanitary land fill garbage dispolal operation.
It was decided that the City should survey this type operation
of other cities and the availability of land for this purpose
in this area, and then look into the purchase of the equipment.
MOTION by Councilman Dalton to approve and accept the report
and recommendation of the Mayorts Emergency Ambulance committee.
Copy attached hereto. Motion seconded by Councilman Pirkle and
passed by a yes vote by Councilmen Foust, Dalton, Huber Pickle
and Benedict. there were no noes.
No other business meeting adjourned.
