The City Conncil met ir� regular session on the above date those
present were Mayor Pro-Tem L. W. Parker, presiding in the absent
of Mayor Woods, Aldermen Benedict, Vandeventer, Huber and Pirkle .
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as re�ld.
Mr. Chambers and Mr. Wilkins of Irving askthe councii if they
could build 1100 sq. feet houses excluding por.ches and garges,
with 80 � masonry on gravel streets on a 70 acre tract ,just
outside of our city limits but inside our extra territoral limits.
This 70 acres is ,just north of the Grapevine Mattress factory
along Dove Road.
The council advised Mr. C�ambers and Mr. Wil�tins to submit their
plot plans to �he city and som�thing would be worked out.
The votes of the City election held April 6, 1965 was canvaseed
by the coun�il. A motion by Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman
Berledict to adopt Resolution #R65-5 - Declaring the results of
the city election held April 6, 1965 with the following number
of votes for each candidate with the following being elected to
office:

Motion carried by all me�tb�rrs voting yes.

A motion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Huber to
adopt Ordinaace � 65-4 designating certain streets as truck routes.
Motion carried by All members present voting yes with no noes.

City of Grapevf ne.
In reference to parking along the Hvvy 121 and 111� from Main
street east for trucks �the Police te be instructed to warn
truckers not to park along this highway on the Qorth side untili
the Ordinance governing the parking could be rewritten. No tickets
to be issued but warning only.
� letter received from Mr. Robert Lipscomb was read to the council
in reference to buying a tract of his land for a public park was
tabled for further study. ,
H petition for annexation of a part of Mr. George Ti112ry �s tract
of land along Dove Road was received by the council .
A motion by Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to accept
Mr. Tillery petition for annexation of a strip of land 80t x 112 �
in the T. lda�an Survey, along Dove Road. , and to pass Ordinance
#65-5 annexing this land into the city. Motiin carried �y all
members present voting yes with no noes. Complete Ordinance
on file in the official ordinance book of the City of Grapevine.
Discussion was given on the request of Mrs Corliss Davis placing
a Pool Table � her place of business to be operated and supervised
by Mrs Davis. This aatter was tabled for further study.
