This letter confirms on December 22, 2020 the Historic Preservation Commission staff
approved with conditions #CA20-115 for the property addressed 409 East Worth Street,
legally described as Block 34, Lot 4 & 5, City of Grapevine Texas. The following was
approved on this Certificate of Appropriateness.-
1 Remove the existing 10' x 52' gravel driveway on the east side of the
property;
2. Install a new brick driveway in the sale area with details as follows: using
Pinehall Brick, "Full Range Pathway" color/style, 4" x 8" x 2.24" in size;
as per the attached site plan, photos and specification sheets with the condition a
permit is obtained from the Building Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.

Proposed brick driveway at 409 E. Worth, Grapevine TX 76051
Material to be: Acme - Pinehall Brick Co. — "Full Range Paver" 4" X 8" X 2.25" thick as shown in picture below. (or equal
with same color scheme). We want the look to be similar or equivalent to City of Grapevine downtown sidewalks and
crossings.
Drive will be bordered on long sides by 8" concrete borders to retain brick and lower concrete pad will have #3 rebar-
18" on centers. Brick will be set on sand base and sloped and finished with poly grout after setting bricks.

Square -Edge Series 2.25" Product Specifications
Unit clay paver shall conform to the requirements of ASTM C902, Class SX, Type 1, Application
PX and C67 for Freeze and Thaw. Units shall be standard 4" x 8" (or standard modular) size
having dimensions of 2 1/4" x 4" x 8" (or 2 1/4" x 3 5/8" x 7 5/8"), square -edge on both sides,
8,000 psi minimum compressive strength and below 8% cold water absorption. Paver shall
conform to Pathway [color] or Courtyard [color] as manufactured by Pine Hall Brick Co., Inc.,
Winston-Salem, North Carolina and distributed by [party responsible for specification].
Square -Edge Heavy Vehicular 2.75" Product Specifications
Unit clay paver shall conform to the requirements of ASTM C1272, Application PA and C67 for
Freeze and Thaw. Units shall be standard 4" x 8" size having dimensions of 2 3/4" x 4" x 8",
tumbled after firing for old worn out historical appearance, 10,000 psi minimum compressive
strength, minimum breaking load of 475 lb/in and below 6% cold water absorption. Paver shall
conform to Pathway Series or Courtyard Series as manufactured by Pine Hall Brick Co., Inc.,
Winston-Salem, North Carolina and distributed by [party responsible for specification].
