The City Council met in regular session on the above date those E,
present were Mayor Johnson, Aldermen parker, Woods, Prkle, and
Harrell. alderman Deacon being absent.
The minutes of the pre us meeting was read and approved as read.
Mr. Bart Bradford of the Gene Schrickel and Associates explained
the City Plan to the council and offered to do this study for
a proximately $14 D®®0 . e Ci yts cost a little less than
$ , 00.00. He will see what informatiom the City has and if any
of the information we have will be .helpful in the plan the price
would be adjusted.
r. Paul Bentley talked with the council about a lour-rent housing
project for Grapevine. Mr. Bentley was av ed that the council
would give further study to this and let him know if they decided
o go into this project.
Discussion was given on laying a suer line to serve Webb City
resident. The approximate footage will be 866 feet. Bids for the
labor will be taken and each bidder will furnish the City with a
Insurance policy covering the workers in the amount o $10,000, 0,
.Bids will- be received by the 15 h of .August 1962.
Thirty-five colored people signed a letter of intent to bring
their property into the City. The streets will have to be
dedicated, grater and suer lines to be planned to serve the area
and legal descriptions of the property to be presented for
correct descriptions can be made. This was to be worked out for
this area kKRdRzx before any action can be taken.
The Mayor explained to the council the need of having a flat bed
truce to assist the Garbage Dept, and other departnent in their
operations. Also the Corps of Engineers have some truck, second
hand, to be sold to the higgest bidder. 2 of the bid will have
to be submitted wktlxxtJx(Kxkkd at the time of bid letting, and
suggest that the City submit a bid for one of these trucks.
A motion by Alderman Harwell, seconded by .Alderman 'irkle for the
City to submit a bid for one of these trucks. Motion carried.
A motion by Aldermen Harwel , seconded by Alderman Woods to set
a $2.50 per month charge on each living unit for sewvr service for
Mr. Martints project. motion carried.
Fur here study was to be given on a garbage charge for this apartment
unit of Mr. Martin.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Parker to continue
to have 'Tip Johnson Construction Co. to maintain the dmmp grounds
and furnish gravel and sand to the city as their is no other source
available unless out of Dallas or Fort Worth. Lotion carried .
