The City Conncil met in regular session on the above date those
present were Mayor John�n, Aldermen Harwell , Woods, Pirkle, and
Deacon . Alderman Parker being absent.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read.
Rev. Stephens was present with approximately 25 members of the
Assembly of God church asking that the City give permission for
them to build a church building on their lots 9, 10, 11 , 12, 8 13 in
Block 103 in College Heights addition. Rev. Stephens described the
building to be 66 � front facing Wood St. , 134� deep and approximately
75 � from Estill st. on the north and 5 � from the alley on the south
side. This would leave an alley of 20 � on the south side. Church
will comply with all city ordinances if allowed to build within 5t

�w � the drainage off of their lots flowing north to other
people � s property on the north side of Estill st.
A motion by Alderman Harwell , seconded by Alderman Woods to grant
the Assembly of God Church permission to build the church building
allowing them to build within 5� of the alley on the south side of
thefr property, with all other zoning laws to be �omplied with.
Motion carried .
Mr. Watkins met with the council asking that something be done �ith �
the water th�t flows from the church property across Estill st. on �
his property. The water is going under his house and rottening it
out. Mayor Johnson assured Mr. Watkins that he and the water r
superientend would try to remedy the situation as soon as possible. �

Mr. Telford and Mr. Fred Hollmer met with the council asking permission
to construct a charter boat to operate out of the Anchor. A motion �
by Alderman Deacon, seconded by Alder�an Harwell to approve the
application of the Anchor to construct and operate a charter boat r
service with the approval of the Corps of Engineers. Motion caTried. ;
A motion by Alderman Deamn, seconded by Alderman Woods to approve
Speed Zon� Ordit�ance on SH 114 from the intersection of SH 121 ,
northeasterly along SH 1�1 as per Urdinance No.62-2. Motion carried.

The Mayor opened bids received to lay approximately 866t of
sewer lines. The bids are as follows:

Propose to costruct approximately 860 � of 6'� and 8'' sanitary se�er,
6t to 8t deep @ �2.00 per foot. Also build 2 brick manholes, 3 � in
diameter @ �125.00 each. The aboye prices include only labor and
equipment. �

Council agreed not to open this bid as it was not received until
the 17th of the month and the bids was to be in by the 15th of the
month. Bid was to be returned.

Propose to furnish all labor on laying 120 � of 8" sewer line, 71�6 �
of 6" line for the stim of .90r� per lineal foot. 'I�►o manholes L

All material and engineering furnished by the City.
A motion by alderman Harwell , seconded by Alderm�n Deacnn to award �

the contract to Grimes Constructi �n Co. Motion carried. Work to
begin after the users have paid their �14.00 for extension and their
$20.00 tap charge.
Bids were opened for signs to go on the front of the City Hall and
Fire Station.

A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Deacon to accept
H. L. Higgens price on a Halsey Taylor water fountain installed for
$192.00 . Motio n carried.
Mr. Bradford submitted a proposai for a Master Plan for the City in �:'
the amount for the City to pay of �3,080.00. City will study this 1'
and advise.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconde� by Alderman Deacon to puchase
a 22`' Yazoo mower for the water department in the amount of �229.95.
Motion carried. _

Secretary to talk with Mr. J. B. Ddniels about the price of building �
a council table f or the council room.
A letter from Mr. Lloyd Tillery asking that he be put on the City of
Grapevine �s two-way radio system. �

A motion by Alderman Harwell , seconded by Alderman Deacon that no £
occassion now exist to change the City�s present policy in the operation #
of our two-way radio system. Motion carried. �
City plans to co ntinue the operation of our Library in the City. >
Alderman Deacon was to talk with Mr. Willhoite in reference of the `
city installing an Air Conditioner in the Libarary. �
