SUBJECT: ANNUAL CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR OPERATIVE IQ SOFTWARE
LICENSES FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the renewal of an annual contract for Operative
IQ software licenses from Bound Tree for the Fire Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund for an annual estimated amount
of $18,180.
BACKGROUND: Operative IQ allows the EMS Division and the department's logistics
technician to manage and maintain all EMS supplies and orders for the
individual fire stations. The program helps the department control costs,
maximize ordering efficiency, and reduce the amount of inventory required
to keep on hand. It is also used for daily apparatus checks and equipment
inventory.
This procurement will be made as a sole source purchase in accordance
with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter B, § 252.022.
General Exemptions (a) (7) (A).
Staff recommends approval.
