The City Council met in regu2ar session on the above date Lhose
presertt were Mayor Woods, A2dermen Benedict, Pirk2e , Huber, and
Vandeventer, with Alderman Pa�'ker being abseqt.
The minutes of the previous meetirtg was read and approved as read.
A motian by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Benedict Lo acce�pt
the final plans and Addendum #1 tc� the plans in the capening af
A�alea Drive in the Ridge Crest Addition, mo#,i�n carried by Aldermen
Benedict, Pirkle , Vandc�renter �roting yes with no noes.
The City 1�ttorney read a petition th�t had been presented to the
Council by some 30 persons asking that their land and houses be
braught inta the Gfty Limfts of Grapevine , this is the co2ored
section of the Ci ty.
A motian by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Aidermar� Vandeventer to
acc�pt and approve Annexation qrdianar�ce ,#63-23, annex#rtg the
co2ored section of town. Motibn carried by Alderman Pirkle,
Benedict, ar�d Vandeventer vQting yes with no noes. Compfete Ordinance
on file in the City Ordianance books as OrdinaRCe #b�-13.

and pass Ordiarlence #63-1L� extending the application of the City
of Grapevirze Qrdiana�ce #5,�-2 esLablishfng Rules � Regulatfons
governin,g plats and the subdivl�on land to all of the area under the
extraterritQrial �jurisdictian c�f the city. Moti4n carried by Alderm�n
Benedict, Pirkle, Huber and Vandevent�P: voting yes with no noes.
Council asked the City Attorttey to begin negatiations with surroun�g
cities to establish our extra territorial limits usir�g when practical�le
and agreeable the Da2 ias Cai�nty I f n� on the East side as the E�'st
boundry line.
A motion by Aiderman Vandeventer, secanded by Alderman Benedict to
authori�e Freese, Nichals ar�d Endress Consulting Engineers to advertias
for bids to repair and repaint the overhead water storage tank �►nd to
have the bids opened at 7;3a P.M., December 3, 1963 at the regular
meetfng af the cflnnci2 in the City Ha21 , lt�otion carried by A2dermert
Benec�ct, Pirkle, Huber and Var�deventer vnting yes with no noes.
Members of the Jaycees gave the ccaunci 1 a pragress report on the
work and material that has gone into the remoQe3irtg of Lhs Civic
Center aRd what they plan to do in the future to the improvement
of the Civic Center,

A motion b Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Benedict to araend :
the 1963-6� Budget to include as Accoflnt 6-3 - Repairs to a total of
�250.00 making the total of the Estimated Eacpenditures for the Civic
Center �550.00, also to change or correct the Reserve for Emergertcies
and Contingencies to �3�747•99, as amendment No. 1 . Also to authorize
$200.00 expenditure on the Civic Center for repairs. Motion carried.

Mayor Woods appointed Alderman Vandeventer as chairman of a committee
consisting of Alderman R�tD�dif Parker, and Secretary Ezell to talk
with Mr. Davis of the Corps of Engineers in regard to releasing a
portib n of the landthat the city has under lease back to the
Corps of Engineers for them to develop.
Budget for the�year 1964 for the Park was to be prepared by the
assistance of r. Davis.
A United States Flag and A Texas FY� was to be bought for the
Conncii room.
A moti �n by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Benedict to aat�
Ddxxx�t�� aband the alley in the Dolley Survey between lots 1-2-3
and lot 4 in Block 2?, Eli�3Qi�K�4if�$DI�Ci��fX and to authori ze
the sale of this 18� alley to Grapevine Concrete Co. or Mr. Bill
Ratliff for a sum of �250.00 with Mr. Ratliff furnishing a11 of the
necessary papers to close the deal . Motion carried by �l��rman Benedict,
Pirtle, Huber, and Vandeventer voting yes with no noes. Abandi�ag
the alley ia the above described block is recording as Ordinance ,�63-15.

the installation of three street lights in the colored sec�ion of
town. Motion carried by Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, and
Vandeventer voting yes with no noes.

vehicles for the next six months keeping the� repaired and furnishing
parts for the vehicles:

the bid of Hudibur g ChevrQlet, ��c. ta do the City�s repair work an
all city vehicles far the next six months. Mation carried by Aldermen
