The City Council met in regular session on the above date those
presetn were Mayor Woods, Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber,
Vandeventer and Parker.
Minutes of the previa8s meeting was read and approved as read.
Mrs Tillery and Mr. Herdon met with the council protesting re-
zoning lots 10 and 11 in Block 109 of College Heights addition
from "A" Residential to "B" R�sidential. The Planning and Zoning
Board recomended to the council to change the 2oning from "A" to

A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Benedict to table
this matter for further study on rezoning these lots in the College
Heights addition. Motion carried by Aldermen Parker, Vandeventer,
Huber, Pirkle and Benedict voting yes with no noes. '
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Benedict to
approve the division of Lot 1 in Block 7 of the Lucas �lddition
for W. T. Shelton. Motion carried by Alderman B�t�edict, Pirkle ,
Huber, Vandeventer, and Parker voting yes with no noes.
A motion by I�lderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Benedict to
purchase the Mars �treet Sweeper from Peerless Equipment Co. of
Dallas for �350.00. Motion cartied by Alderman Benedict, Pirkle,
Huber, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman B�aedict, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to
aband and close the alley in Block 15 of the Original Town of
Grapevine betw�r+sn lots 1 and lot 9 and lots 9, 10, 11 , 12, and 15t of
lot 13 and lots 16 and 29. This alley to be sold for lOr� per
square foot to Buddies Grocery store. Motion carried by Nldermen
Parker, Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle, and Beaedict voting yes with

A motion by Alderman Benedict , secndded by Alderman Huber to
begin laying a 6'� water line from the intersection of Bievins
street West Wall gofing west along Wall street to the intersectinn
of Dove Road , also laying a 6" water line from the intersection
of Hilltop Drive and Lucas Dr. along Lucas Drive to the inter-
section of Lipscomb street, also laying a 6" water line from the
intersection of Main street and West College along W. College street
to the intersection of Church Street. ID��X�OC�{iK Employing
Mr. Cline to dig the ditch and help lay the water lines for .50�
per running foot. The City will furnish all of the material .
Motion carried by Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Vandeventer
and Parker voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by �lderman Vandeventer to
install a mercury vapor light along Cannon Stre�t �ust south of
the present Junior High School where the School bus �s are parked.
Motion carried by Alderman Parker , Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle
and Benedict voting yes with no noes.
Quotations for a 6 Cylinder 1/2 ton pick-up for the water depart-
ment was read and are as follows:

A motion by Aiderman Vandeventer, seconded by Alderman Pirltle
to buy the Chevrolet Pick-up from Hudiburg Chevrolet for a total
t$ade price of �1 ,55l�.01�. Motion carried by �ldera�an Pirkle ,
Parker, Vandeventer, Huber, and Benedict voting yes with no noes.
Pick-up to be red in color.
A motion by Alderman Parker , seconded by Alderman Pirkle for the
city to hire an associate of Mr. Ehrenborg to assess the 1964
additi�rt to the city tax roll . The city and school will divide
the cost of this expense 50-50 for the work to be done in the city.
Motion carried by Aldermen Parker, Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle
and Benedict voting yes with no noes.
City 5ecretary was to get some estimates on retopping a part of
South Ball street.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Benedict to
adopt and �ass Reolution asking the State Highway Depart-
ment to open or extend South Main street to the old Euless Road.
Motion carried by Aldermen Parker , Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle
and Beriedict voting yes with no noes.
