The C�ty �ouncil m�t in regular session on the above date those
present wer Mayor Woods, Aldermen Vandeventer, Huber, Pirk2e and
Benedict. Alderman Parker being absent.
Minutes of the previous meetings was read and approved as read.
Mr. J. C. Greener, Fire Chief, met with the council to present
the plans of the Fire Department to organi2e a Junior Fire
Department along with the proposed rules and regulations and the
purpose of the Junior Fire Department.
A motion by Alderman Vandeventer , seconded by Alderman Benedict
to authorize Fi�e Chief Greener to proceed with the plans to
organize a Junior Fire Department until unforseen difficulities
arise. Motion carried by A1dePman Benedict, Pirkle , Huber and
Vandeventer voting yes with no noes.
The City Attorney discussed with the council his thoughts on
prepar3ng a truck traffic ordinance.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Huber to annex
County Roads 3008 from the new 114 loop to the intersection with
County Road 3129, and then County road 3129 to County road 3036,
this being called the old Euless Road. Also to annex County road
3040 from its intersection with the new 114 loop to County Road
3036, this being called Minters Chapel road or the Jackson road.
These annexations Ordinances are No. 64-2 and 64-3. Motion
carried by Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber and Vandeventer voting
yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to adopt
and pass Speed Zone Ordinance 64-4, as recommended by the State
Higheay Department, on Highway 114 from the '�outhlake City Limits
on the West to the Dallas Connty Line. Also along the new 11l�
loop from the Southlake City Limits to the Dallas County line .
Motion carried by Aldermen Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle , and Benedict
voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Huber to pass and
adopt Resolution No. R6l�-3 authoriz�ng the erection of the followig
Stop Signs:
A. Stop on the East side of Ball Street with its intersection
with West Wall .
B. Stop on the west side of N. Dooley with its intersection with
State Highway 114.

C. Stop on the South side of Hudgins street with its inter-
section with South Church street.
D. Stop on the East side of Smith Street with its intersection
with East Wall street.
E. 'Stop on the Esst side of Ridge Road with its intersection
with West Wall street.
F. 5top on the East and West side of Nash Street with its
intersecti�n with Bellaire Drive.
Motion carried by Alderman Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle and Benedict
voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to
authori2e the expenditure for materials on the repair of theCivic
Center. in the amount of �250.00. Motion carried by Aldermen
Benedict, Pirkle, Huber and Vandeventer voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Huber to approve ,.
the Zoning Boards recommendations for rezoning the Sunshine Harbor
Industrial Area from "A'� to "J and K" District. Motion carried by
Aldermen Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle and Benedict voting yes with no noes.
!� motion by Alderman Benedic t, seconded by tild�rman Huber to have
the City Well No 1 , located on the corner of Jenkins and Wall
street plugged temporary due to the immediate cost of try to
replace the we11 casing with no assurance of good water after the
work had been done. Motion carried by Alderman Benedict, Pirkle,
Huber and Vandevneter voting yes with no noes.
