The City Council met in regu2ar session on the above date those
present were Mayor Woods, Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber,
Vandeventer and Parker.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read.
Mr. Harlon Joyce chairman of the Zoning Board met with the council
to discuss the rezoning of Lots 6 & 7 in Block 7 of the Hilltop
Addition from "B'! Dwelling to "C & D" Dwelling. As no recommendations
was made by the zoning board. 1�lderman �Iandeventer made a motion to
table this matter until furtger study cov.ld be made and the zoning
board made a recommendation on the rezoning of this property, this
motion was seconded by Alderman Benedict. Motion carried by Aldermen
Parker, Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle and Benedict voted yes with no noes.
Mr. Dick Stewart of Henningson , Durham and Richardson, Engineers and
Planners explained that the hold up on the application for the
preparation of the Master Plan was in �r at the State Level or at
Federal Housing AQency Office in Fort orth and if the City could
do anything to heIp speed this app�.ication along would be appreciated.
The council talked with Mr. Stewart about his company performing this
service directly with the city or for the city without the Federal
and State Aid . If this could be done for his company to submit a ;
proposal of the cost to the City for thiet consideration.
The Pro-rata Ordinance for water and s�wer line extensions was
discussed.
A motion by l�lder�an Benedict , seconded by Alderman Huber for a
proposed ordina nce be drawn up for the council to study. Motion
carried by plderman BEnedict, Pirkle, Huber, Vandeventer and PaTker
vot��t�g ye s wi th no noe s.
Police department and operations was discussed.
A motion by Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Parker to install
a 295 Watt suburban light at the intersectinn of Peach street and
Church street. Motion carried by Alderman Benedict, Pirkle, Huber,
Vandeventer and Parker votying yes with no noes.
No further business meeting ad,journed.
