The City Council met in regular session on the above date those
present were Mayor Woods, Hl�ermen Parker, Vandeventer, Huber,
Pirkle and Benedict.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read.
The Zoning Board held its public hearing and then recommended to
council at the Councilts public hearing on this rezonfng of 'Bact
5N in the Foster Survey as follows : The zoning board recommended
that no action, in the re�oning of this property,be taken at this
time until the City has ��g��t��t received its Master plan on land
study and usage from the Planners and engineers . The rezoning was
asked on Tract 5A in the Foster Survey by Mr. Widener and Mr. Boone
to have this land rezoned from "�" Residential to "L-M" Manufacturing.
No action was taken by the Conncil on this matter.
Mayor Woods appointed Aldermen 1landeventer and Parker to canvass the
election Ballots and Tallies for correctness in the count. They
reported that the count was correct and was as follows:
49 votes cast

Guy S. Benedict P�e #4 received 47 votes
Willis Pirkle Place #5 received L}.6 votes

A motion by Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Vandeventer to adopt
and pass Resolution R6l�-5 declaring results of the City election held
1�pri1 7, 1964, at the Fire Station in the City of Grapevine , Texas
with a total of 49 votes cast, with the named candidates receiving
the following number of votes:
For Alderman Place #3
L. W. Parker !�7 votes
For .�lderman Place #4
Guy S. Benedict 47 votes
For H1dePman Place #5
Willis Pirkle 46 votes

Motion carried.by Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber, Vandeventer and
Parker voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to adopt
and pass Ordinance 64-5 requlating trailer coach parking and
Trailer Parks. �omplete Ordinance on file in the Official Ordinance
Boak of the City of Grapevine , Motinn carried by Alderman Parker ,
Vandeventer, Huber, Pir�le and Benedict voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Benedict to adopt
and pass Ordinance No. 64-6 adopting and providing for the Administratian
of all positions in the City Government. Complete Ordinance on file
in the Official Ordinance Book of the City of Grapevine . Motion
carried by �ldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber, Vandeventer and Parker
voting yes with no noes.
Discussion was given on the pro-rata ordinance and also a livestock
ordinance was discussed. Secretary was to have a sample livestock
ordinance for the next meeting for the auncil to study.
Mr. Scruggs discussed the forming of a Rifle Club that would be called
Auxiliary Policemen or some similiar name of this kind and all of the
City policemen would become members of the club. The secretary was
to check with the attorney to see if the City would be liabile on
any account by this name or city policemen being members.

Mr. H. 0. Oatis, Mr. Mack Williamson and Mr. H. K. Jetton to serve
on the Tax EquiliZation Board that would be held on June 30, 196 4.

The Council approved paying the Mayor �s dues as a member of the
Tarrant County Mayors Organi2ati �n.
3 A motion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Huber to recind
�` the motion of laying an 8" water line from the intersection of Church
(.� Street and State Highway 121 , then going along Highway 121 to just
southwest of the Railroad underpass on Highway 121 a distance of :
�} approximately 1935'Which was autho�ized on April 7, 1964. Hnd to
�1� authorize the laying of a 6" water line along Ball street from the
inte on of Wes Colle�e to the intersection of Hudgin street,
en along Ba s reet from the intersection of Hudgin street to
across the Railro$d on Ball street with the Grapevine Concrete Co.
paying for the boring under the Railroad plus the regular tap
charge on the water line according to the size of ineter he will
require. Motion carried with Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle , Huber,
Vandeventer and Parke voting yes with no noes.

The council�the black topping of a portion of South Ball street
as soon as the pric es are verified and also authorized black topping
the portion of Eckley street that was dug up to put a water line
in with the same company doing the work.

A petitiQn from Dr. Carlton D. Fittard and wife Wanda P. Pittard
asking that their land containing 1 .6665 acres of land in the a.
Foster Survey being a part of the R. J. Yancy tract be annexed to
the City of Grapevine .
A motion by 1�lderman Pirkle, seconded by t�lderman Vandeventer to
annex Dr. Pittard tract of land as described in Hnnexation Ordinance
#6l�-7, complete Ordinance on file in the City of Qapevine Official
Ordinance Book. Motion carried by 1�ldermen Parker , Vandeventer,
Huber, Pirkle and Benedict voting yes with no noes.
