May 19, 1964
The City Council met in rggular session on the above date those
present were Mayor Woods, Aldermen Pa�ker, Vandeventer, Huber,
Pirkle and Benedict.
Minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read.
Mrs W.�bster and Mr. Reed talked with the council about the streets
in Lakewood Acres Addition stating thtt the gravel streets was
accspted by the City at the time they put the gravel on the land.
The City conLends that the streets was not completed and that now
they are to come under Ordinance �60-18 dated the 18th day o f
Occ tob er iq60.
The city advised Mrs Webster that they would turn the matber over
to the City Attorney to get a legal opinion on this matter.
The Planning and Zoning B�rd recommended to the council that the
S 60 � of the N 175i of Lot 3, Biock 8 in the Lucas Addition be
re2oned from "B" Dwelling to "Ftt Local Retail District.
A motion by Aiderman Pirkie, seconded by Aiderman Benedict to
accept the Planning and Zoning Boards recomendation and rezone
the 560 � of the N 175� of Lot 3 in Block 8 in the Lucas Addition
to "F" Local Retail District. Motion carried by Alderman Pa�ks�,
Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle and Benedict votiZg yes with �o noea.
A motioa by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Huber to change
the existing 189Watt incandescent light at the corRer of Church
and Franklin St�eLs by the Methodist church to a mercury vapor
light. Motion carried by Alderman Parker, Vandeventer, Huber,
Pirkle a�d Benedict voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Hvber, seconded by Alderman Benedict to
adopt and pass the recommended Speed Zone Ordinance �`64-8, submitted
by the Texas Highway Department for Highway 15? or the portion inside
the City Llmits. Motion carried by Alderman Benedict, Pirkie , Huber,
Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with noes.
A motion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Huber to
adopt and pass Ordinance #64-9, requiring permits for parades,
demoastrations, etc in the City. Motion carried by Aldermen
Benedict, Pirkl�, Huber, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes. '`

A petition fro� Mrs A. B. Dick, formerly Mrs Mamie Lee Cook,
asking that her prope�ty along State Hig hway 121 containing .46
acrss of land in the Fo�ter Survey as TtaCt 10 S be brought into
the City of Grapevine.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Huber to annex
Mrs Dickts property and recommedd to the Planning and Zoning
Board that this property be Zoned as "G" Local Business. Motion
carried by Alderman Benedict, Patker, Pirkle, Vandeventer and Huber
voting yes with no noes. This is Ordinance � 64-10 filed in the
O�icial Ordinance Book of the City of Gr�pevine .
