The City Council met in regular s�ssian or� the above date thase
prasent wer �Iaycr Woods, xlderm�n Parker, Vandeventer, Huber,
Pi rkie and Benedict.
Minutes of the previous meeting was read �nd approved as read.
R petition by Tam Y. St,ephec�s� and wife a�king th�.t thsir property
located on the West side of the corner of Dote Rd. and W. Wall street
be brought into the Cit�y, same b�ing trsct I�t� in the T. iutahar� Survey.
A motian by Rlderman Pirkle, secor�ded by A2derman Benedict tc� adc�pt
and pass annexstion Ordinance 64-14, annexs�ing Tract 1FA in the T.
Mahan Survey into the City. MoLiort carried by Ald�rman Benedict,
Pirkle, Huber, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes.
Sewer 2ines on private property was diseussed by the Couneil.
Mr. Jae Jones, repres�nting Freese, Nichols and Endress Consulting
Engineers, expl�fned to the caancil ths t the Wate r Tank Maintenance
Co, , the company painting and repatring the overhead wat�r tank,
had gon� over 1$ da,ys c�n their contrect causir�g the city addit�c�n,al
moaey and risk and that damages could be assessed against ths Tank
Co. fer this. Ha a2sa adv isgd that the Lank was not comp2et�d as
yet.
Applicati�ns for empioyment was receiued for the water, sewer and
sLrset departments and are as fol2ows;
Mr. James P�ters, Mr. Jimmy Trumball and Mr. John Isbell .
A mation by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Aiderman Huber to hire
Mr. James Feters at a �tarting salary of �300,00 per month to work
in �he Wa'ter, 5ew�r and Street department�. MotiBn carried by
Hlderman Parker, Vandetrenter, Huber, Pirkle and Benedict voting yes
with no noes.
A I�C6tiSE fee of $2�.04 will be charged far businessxs that is �tobf2e
or not Iocated in a perman�nt building.
Mr. Ear2 3ardan of the Grapev4e Roofing Cc�. submitted a bid for the
ksphalt Mafnteaance Distributar in the sum of �404.00. No actian
vras takan.
Bids were received to repair and r�top a portiQn of Eckley street
where a 8" water lins was layed and are as foliow�:
R. W. Gibbins Go. Inc. A lump sum af � 937,00
Tex�ts Bitulithic Co. A 2ump sum of �l,Ofl0.00

A motion by l�lderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Pirkle to have
R. W. Gibbins Co, to repair and retop the portion of F.�kley Street
where the water line was layed. Motion carried by t�lderman �enedict,
Pirkle, Huber, Vandeventer and Parker voting yes with no noes.
Plans for the proposed Trailor Park for Mr. A. W. Brunson was gone
over by the counc i 1.
