The City Council met in regular session on the above date those present
wer Mayor Woods, Aldermen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber and Vandeventer.
Alderman Parker being absent.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read.
Alderman Huber Made a motion to accept the resi�nation of Mr. Bill
Stone and hire Mr. Weaver to work in the Police Department at a
startirtg salary of �325.00 per month for the first three months and
if Mr. Weaver and City are satisfied he will be raised to �350.00
per month with a �10.00 per month uniform allowance. Alderman Benedict
seconded tge motion. Motion carried by Alderman Benedict, Pir��e,
Huber and Vandeventer voting yes with no noes.
The City agrt�eed to approve Mrs Katie Sinclair using water from the
water well in Silver Park area sub�ect to the approval of the Corps
of Engir�eers.
A motion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Vandeventer to
authorize the expenditure of Park money to �xt�derbtnsh a portion of
the Park area now under lease by the City near Parking area #4.
� Moti.on carried by Alderman Benedict, Pirkle, Huber and Vandeventer
voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Benedict, seconded by Alderman Huber to black top
a portion of' the paiidng area #� in the Si l.ver Lake Park area. Motion
carried by Aldermaa Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle and Bene�ict voti�dg �yes
with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Huber, seconded by Alderman Benedict to authorize
the Mayor to si�n for the city an agreement with the Federal Highway
Planning agency for the city to participate in the planning of this
area. Moti�n carried by �ldermen Vandeventer, Huber, Pirkle and
Benedic t voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle , seconded by Alderman Hub�r to Air
Conditionthe 1961� Ford PaLroi car. Motion carried bv �lderman
Benedict, Pirkle, Huber and Vandeventer voting yes with no noes.
A motion by Alderman Pirkle, seconded by Alderman Benedict to relsase
Le�aa V$n Zandt of his duties in the Sanitatian department by giving
him two weeks pay with his notice. Motion carried by �lderman
Benedict, Pirkle , Huber and Vandeventer voting yes with no noes.
The proposed 1964-65 Budget was discussed by the Council.
No further business meeting ad�journed.
