proposal. Mr. A. B. Aller., Election Judne , attended , and in the nresence
of Nir. All.en, iti�layor Ti� Johnson, and Lity Secrnt�rv �t. F. Ro�;ers, the
' balloi boxes were iinlocked and all. ballo±�. �rere counted by members of �
the City Council.
The following ta'�ulatioi:s were macae on the election and were accepted by
the City Council and the I.lection Jud_�:e as the correct resul.ts of the
election; �

ele cted as members of the City Council�i l�l. Floyd Deacon, Harold �aker ,
Travis riatthews, and Ed C. Hayward. A le�;al rulin�- from the State of
Texas advised a runof f ele ction f or Alderman, Pla ce 3 would not t�e
required. rloyd De�con �,vas elected for t he unexpired portion of the
tcrm endin� Alay� 1 , 1961 and the remainir�� CouT�cilmen tvere elected for
a t�R�o year term a�d end� n� �la�� 1 , 1962.
In revie�ving the Yoll List of the Street =�ond electian, it �,aas noted that
several votes �nTere cast bp ��ersons th�t ��reze not eli��it�le to vote . It
was determined that a numner of r�ersor.is listed on the �'oll 13st of voters
were not owners of property duly rendered for taxation �,Tith the City of
Grapevine. i;nly those resic�ents �N� th pro�erty on the tax roll of the City
wer_e eli�ible to vote on the Street �3ond pronosal. It was c�ecided by
the :.�ouncil that no f�rther action ?nrould be t;k,en at thzs time of the
Street Bond �lection as it wotild regt�ire Court actior� and le{7al ex�ense
to thP City and the on��� result ���uld re to vcid the v�te enti.rely. The
� Council felt that another street b�n.d electior. �,v� t�ld be cal_led in the
ver;� near future.

buy the property trom .?3ob Lipscomb apt�roximately 100X100 feet plus
' easemer.t for n.ew location o� the Jean Street lift st�ti_�r.. ��iotion
