The Cit Council met in re ular session on the above date those

present were Mayor Tip Johnson, Alderman Travis Matthews, A1
Harwell , Harold Kaker, Ed. Hayward, and Floyd Deacon.
Mr. H. D. Thompson met with the council to discuss the co�plaints
he had received �n reference to picking up garbage. Mr. Thompson
was to work out with the City Secretary an article to be put into
the local. paper of what he will pfck up and types of containers
garbage is to be put into. Also the City will notify the persons
that are hauling garbage other than Mr. Thompson tha.t they are
not to haul garbage for hire as Mr. Thonpson has the franchise
to do this work inside the City.
Mr. A. E. Tucker Jr. met with the Council and asked that the alley,
at the southwest cs�rner of property owned by Clois Tate, alley
paralleling Main S reet on the west, this being the alley of the
southwest coa�ner of Block 11� in the Grapevine Survey, be left
opened for public use and also he may be able to use this alley
in his business. The Mayor appointed Alderman Floyd Deacon to
tryto work out some kind of an agreement between the property
owners and report his firiding to the Couacil .
' Mr. Joe Box sv.ggested to the Council to look into the possibilit-
ies of trying to get the streets curbed and guttered before lthe
resurfaceing begin.
A motion by Alderman Kaker, seconded by Alderman Hayward to
accept petition of Leslie Hill , in reference to Sunshine Harbor
Homes, a tract of 45.8 acres be accepted and annexed into the
City Llmits of Grapevine , motion carried.

AN ORDIPIANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND
C�NTIGUOUS 11� THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: PROVIDIIVG THAT SUCH
AREA KNOW AS SUNSHINE HARBOR SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY
AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED
TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY AND BE
BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HERE-
� INAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR :4MENDING AND CORRECTING
THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY HEF�ETOFORE ADOPTED AS
AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A motion by Alderman Kaker that the City annex County Road 3149
beginning at the southeast side of SH 121 on the north right-of-
� w�y of County Road 3149, then east to the Tarrant County and

; ' Dallas County line, thence south across County Road along the
' County line to the south right-of-way of County Road, thence
�. west alang County Road 31L�.9 right-of-way to the south east '

be necessary and to become effective on date of passage. ,
Motion carried.

Mr. J. J. Thweatt presented a petition to the Council asking ,
that his sixty-two aC�'es be annexed into the City Limits of ,
Grapevine . A motion by Alderman Kaker, seconded by Alderman
Harwell to accept the petition of Mr. J. J. Thweatt and
annex his sixty-two acres into the City Limits of the City of
Grapevine. Motion carried . ( Description of property in Ord. )

Mr. L. B. Bowen presented a petition to the Council asking
that hi s 27.6 acres be annexed iN to��,he Ci ty Limi ts of
Grapevine. A motion by Alderman„� seconded by Alderman Haywood,
to accept the petition of Mr. L. B. �owen and annex his
twenty-seven and six hundredth acres into the City Limits of
the �ity of Grapeviae. Motion carried. ( Description of

The Kiesley�Mattison property consisting of 7.6 acres is now �
zoned for Industrial use and no intentions of the Council to i
re-zone this property. �

Mr. Myers asked that he would like to come into the City Limits
of Grapevine if the City would zone lhis property for Commmerical
use. Mr. Myers will have to file a petition for annexation and �
if property is not zoned as he see fit he may withdrawrhis ;
petition. ��

Policem�n Burl Richardson resigned from the Police Force, Mayor �
Tip Johnsc�n had an applicatinn from Mr. H. L. Kay for the �job i
as patrolmen, Council appointed Mayor Johnson and Chief of Police
Scott to hire the man ifhis references are alright and satisfact- I
ory. i
A letter and the agreement between Mr. W. B. Robinson and Mr. �,
Telford with the Corps of Engineers was approved as the Corps '�
of Engineers suggested by the Council . This is to be turned i
over to Mr. Robinson and Telford for their approval . �
• The Change order drawn up by Freese, Nichols, & Endress, I�I
Engineers, in reference to the cost of back filling Do�ley, 'I
Texas, � Wall streets with sand and omitting the black top was I
set aside for further study. The break down on the cost of the
sewer llnes to Dellwood acres was not discussed. '
Plans for a buiTding to be used for Boat, Motor Repair in con- '
�junction with the Boat Dock and Storage operation by Silver
Lake Enterprises, inc. was presented to the Council for their
approval . A motion by Alderman Kaker, seconded by Alderman
Deacon to approve plans and turn over to the Corps of Engineer:s
for their approval . Motion carried.
In reference to complaints received of the work being carried
on by Clyde Woods Shop at nights, the Council as advised by
an attorney, feels that this matter can be more properly handled
if complaints are filed by the residents concerned.
A motion by Alderman Kaker , seconded by Deacon to advertise for
bids for equipment to be used to maintain the streets. Motion
carried.
Alderman Hayward suggested that a cop,y of each corresponden�e
sent out to local citizens be sent to each Councilmen.
