Fatherree and Glover of the Lone Star Gas Company were ', � again present for further discussion of the adoption of the Gas Companies standard Street Rental Charge Ordinance. .�.lderman i Kakermoved to pass the ordinance to expire August ll�, 1967 if it would not be illegal or too difficult ot ammend. Motion was Seconded by .ylderman Shelton and passed. Mr. Root of the Texas Power and Light Company was present to e imil r discuss the ado tion of a Street Rental Char e Ordfnanc s a P 9 to that of the Gas Company. xlderman Kaker moved to take the same action on this ordinance as just taken on the one for the Gas � i Company. Motion Seconded by xlderman Sh�lton and Passed. • 1 ' Mr. Keller of First of Texas, and Messrs. Franklin and Hundley 6 of Dittmar and Company were present to make the City on offer for € the purchase of Water and Sewer �Vorks improvement bonds totaling �425,000. Bonds to retire in thirty four years. The offer was i as follows: 1960-196�.----- 3.75� 1977-1989 ----- 4-.75� 1965-1970----- 4.25� 1990-1993 ----- l�.85� i 1971-1976----- 4. 50� � � I t�ction as to accept or reject this offer was postponed until Wednesday, June 17, 1959. I 1-�.lderman Shelton moved that the City mowing machine may be used I to mow parts of the grounds of the Cemetary xssociation and other City-wide civic organizations. Dlfotion was by �lderman ` Harwell and passed. i ' Notion was made by Alder-man Shelton that the �ity not do mowing ; for Churches and private property oweners for '_the present time. � Motion seconded by �lderman Harwell and passed. � � Alderman Harwell moved that the City Hall be kept open until I�, � noon on S�turday and that the employees have one-half day off during the week to compensate for working on Saturday. IV[otion seconded by xlderman Shelton and palled. xlderman Kaker moved that the City should get approval on plans for the construction of Road No. 2, picnic tables, and toilets in Silver Lake Park, and then call for bids for the compleste � job. Motion seconded by Rlderman Shelton and passed. Alderman Kaker moved that a letter be written to County Commiss- I ioner Earl Johnson requesting the resurfacing of West College � Street from main Street to Ridge Road to l�Test Wall Str�et, and ' East Worth Street from Main Street to the school campus and the four streete on thefour sides of the school campus. fl�?otion by �lderman Harwell and passed. 1�?ayor and all councilmen decided not to tear out a section of �, curbinq on Vine Street and �� replace to a grade that would j change the direction of flow of water along a portion of Vine ' Street. j The following ordinances were adopted on a motion by alderman Kaker and seconded by Alderman Harwell, and are to expire Apr i 1 15, 1961 .
