Texas, was held on October 7, 1958, with the follvwing members �
� present: Mayor Joe D. Clark; Aldermen D. E. Dalton, R. T. Eidson,
Norris L. Graham, Wm. H. Kaker, 8 R. F. Shelton; Secretary
Hugh Millican.
Minutes of the meetings of September 2nd. and 12th, 1958, were
read and approved.
Alderman Eidson moved the adoption of the following Resolution '
Canvassing the returnes of �ond Election on October 4, 1958: I�

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE RENRNS AND '
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF AN ELECTION ON THE
PROPOSI TION OF THE I SSUANCE OF �L�.25,000.00 OF
WATERWORKS IMPROVEMENT AND EXTENSION REVEP�IUE
BONDS, AND ON THE PROPOSITION OF 1HE I SSUAI�ICE
OF $275,000.00 OF STREET IMPROVEMENT TAX BONDS.
Alderman Graha�n seconded the motion for adoption which passed
by vote, 5-0, with the Mayor concurring. (Cornplete copy of
the Resolution is filed in the Ordinance Book. )

Mr. Charles Ricord, 327A East College, Grapevine, presented �
a request that he be allowed to operate a taxi service within ,
the City of Grapevi8e. Alderman Eidson mo�red that the City �,
approve the request for a six months period providing Mr. ,
Ricord provide satisfactory proof that the vehicles used I
aae covered by insurance with a minimum of insurance as
follows: Body in,jury E� Liability - - - - - 25,000.00 ene person

Motion was seconded by Alderman Dalton and passed. !
Alderman Kaker moved that the City pay from the Park Fund an

amount of $1 ,500.00 for road work and improvements completed '
by Silver Lake Enterprises, Inc. , provided that the provisions
of their contract for concession privileges have been met to
the satisfaction of the Corps of Engineers as approved by the i
Mayor. Alderman Shelton seconded the motion which passed. �I
Alderman Eisdon moved that the following items be approved for I,

Alderman Eidson moved the adaption of the fal2owing Ordinance
closing a part of Church Street between S. H. # 121 and the
railroad:

Alderman Kaker moved that the City pay $ 5.00 per month tQ the
; Water Supterintendent, J. L. Hancock, as expense allowance.
Motian seconded by A2derman Shelton and passed by vote.
A2c3erman Kaker moved that the assessment on praperty annexed
and which cannot be given equal services with ather City ,
praperty due to outl�ing locatic►n, be based an �� of the
appraised value of the City�s appraisers. Motion seconded
by Alderman Efdson and passed by vote. ;

Council agreed that the water and sewer bill tc+ colored rental �
property af H. L. Higgins be settled as and continued to be ;
be charged as being in the City Limits, due to delay in filing I
i proper petition for annexation of this property. This settlement j
to apply to the billing beginning in August. '
