Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas �
was held on June 1�, 1957 with the following members present: Mayor �
Joe D. Clark; Aldermen Doil Dalton, R. T. Eidson, Wm. H. Kaker , �

Minutes of the meetings of May 7 and May 21 , 1957 were read and
approved.
Ordinance No. 57-12 as follows was introduced by Alderman Eidson
and seconded by Alderman Kaker. j
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANP�IEXING TERRITI�RY ADJACENT
.AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF GR4PEVINE, TEXAS; PROVID- ;
ING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A P�RT OF SAID CITY AND �
THAT THE OWNERS I�tD INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE EN-
TITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZEIVS OF SAID CITY
AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT '
AND TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPTED; F'UTHER PROVIDING FOR AMEND-
ING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS '
AMENDED; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. '
The above ordinance annexing property owned by G. W. Huffman, {
et. a1 . , was adopted by vote of I�. to 0. i
1�57-3� Mayor Clark reported that Joe Box declined nomination to the �
Planning and Zoning Commission and appointed R. B. Womack
in his place for a term to expire January 31 , 1958. Council
approved the appointment.
1Ui57-33 Letter from Texas Power & Light Co. dated May 8, 1957 was
'i read and approved. This letter gave moticd of certain reate
adjustments. '

M57-3l� Request was received from Texas Power & Light Co. for
permission to erect an electric distribution line in the
Silver Lake Park Area. Permission was granted. ,
M57-3� Council approved recommendation that all employees of the '
" � City who are on a 6-day week be granted two one-week '
' vacations after employee has been with the City for 12
months. The two weeks may be taken consecutively with
' permissfon of the department head in charge of the em-
ployee. ',
M57-36 Approval was given to change from weekly payroll status
of D. W. Adams to semi-monthly basis and that his salary
be set at �fi 2L�5.00 per month beginning June 1 , 1957•
