� The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grapevine, was
'� � held on February 2, 1954 �ith the following members present ; Mapor
� I H. M. Cosnahan; Alderman Joe Box, Bill Guest, E. M. Pair, and R. F.
j Shelton; Attorney Tom French; and Secretary Hugh Millican. `�
Alderman Shelton introduced and moved the adoption of the following !.�
ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE �1ATER RATES AND SEWER RATES
. F�R THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEX�1S; AND ORDAINING OTHER III
MATTERS RELATIVE TO RENDERING �IATER AND SEWER SERVICE.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Guest and passed by vote 4-0, '
carrying with the motion, the adoption of the ordinance. i
The ordinance was numbered No. 54.-4.. .

Alderman Guest moved that the Mayor, Alderman Box, and Secretary �
Millican be elected as a committee to invest the proceeds from the
� �° sale of bonds in U. S. Government Securities until such time as they '
a ti� are needed to pay for construction vrrork. Motion seconded by Alderman „
� � Shelton and passed. ;�

a Motion by Alderman Pair and second by Alderman Guest that the Mayor
� � proceed to have the roof on the water department buslding at �Tater �
�`� Plant No. 1 repaired. Motion passed by vote.

m �,,�� Bills on the following page were allowed for payment. �
�0 Minutes for preceeding meeting were approved.

¢ Committee consisting of Alderman Guest and Pair r�eported on Salary
� recommendations for City Employees. The report is as follows: �

Motion by Alderman Shelton that the above recommendations be approved.
Motion seconded by Alderman Pair and passed by vote.
Fire Chief J. C. Greener presented a request that Fireman be allowed '
credit of their full water and sewer bills for their services in the
Myar�'� department. Alderman Pair moved that the members of the Fire Dept. be
allowed the credit of their monthly sewer bill and water bill not to ,'
exceed 10,000 gallons per month, effective with the next billing. �
Motion seconded by Alderman Guest and passed.
Letter from Jonne Strain Wampler concerning the valuation of Lot 3
S�.�S Block 2 City of Grapevine was read. It was pointed out that the City
Council had delegated their authority in regard to valuations to the ;,
Board of Eaqualization and that since the Board's recommendation for
the value for 1953 was set at �1,4.32.00, the matter is beyond the
. City Councilts authority.
