Minutes of the meeting of September 7, 195�. were read and approved.
; Alderman Shelton moved that the City Marshal b.e instruct-ed to install
� Yield R�ght-of-Way signs on Smith Street at the intersection of
i 4�s�- 6S Worth Street; and on Franklin Street at the intersection of Smith
Street. Alderman Guest seconded the motion which passed by vote,
; 5-0.

� Alderman Box moved the City authorize the paymen� of � 1.00 for the '
' fi5�- �� removal of dead dogs from within the City. ( present rate is 50¢)
Motion was �seconded by Alderman Daniel and passed by vote, 5-0.
' Alderman Shelton moved that the City Council award contract to
'� Roy Mitchell of Tyler, Texas for the ��Tater System Improvements to
� serve Lakewood Acres for a total bid price of �� 20,056.00 and a
; �IS'�-" completion time of 30 days; that the Mapor and City Secretary be
� authorized to sign the documents. Motion seconded by Alderman
� Guest and passed by vote, 5-0. �
i Motion by Alderman J. J. Daniel that the City, at its expense, have
. ms�+ •►$ a fire hydrant installed on this line near the Negro settlement on
; Dooley Street was seconded by Alderman Box And passed by vote, 5-0.

A revised plat and dedication of the Lakewood Acres Addition was
; presented for Council approval. Alderman Daniel introduced a res-
!� olution and moved its adoption: " A Resolution Approving Revised
; MS� - �� Restrictions or� Lakewood Acres, an Addition to the Citp of Grapevine
1 Texa�, and Re�ised Plat and Dedication �hereof."
i Motion was seconded by Alderman Box and passed by vote, 5-0.

{ A request� bq W. E. Guest that the City proceed with the extension
of sewer lines to serve Lots 1 & 2 in Block �, Bellaire Addition
; and that the cost of this line, approx�,mately �600.00 be included
; in the refunding contract of Section B. Alderman Shelton moved that
tMe sewer line in Lot 11, Block l, Daniel Addition be extended
; �S� _7o South across Vine Street and across Lots 1 & 2 at such time that
j Mr. Guest has deposited the � 600.00. Motion seconded by Alderman D
Daniel and passed by vote, 5-0.

Motion by Alderman Daniel and seconded by Alderman Box that Freese
j ��,}. �/ & Nichols be instructed to complete the plans for sewa�e treatme�t �

Alderman Daniel moned that the City sell the U. S. Government Bonds r
; �y which are bwned bp the Bond Improvement Fund as soon as possible;
� � the maturity value totals � 200,000.00. Motion seconded by Alderman
� Guest and passed bp vote. �
Alderman Shelton moved that a committee consisting of the Magor,
C�ty Secretary, & Alderman Box be authorized to sell these bonds
I� ��`�-� and make other investments in Treasury notes with the proceedsa�at
' � and that as part of this motion is that the citq pass the following
resolution: �

Treasury Bonds of 1960, Nos. 1165 & 1166 totaling � 200,000.00 ,
due November 15, 1960 and held for safe keep�ng by the First

�nThereas, the said city will have a need for cash proceeds from I
tha above mentioned bonds .prior to their due date, �
Wher,eas, it is desired to exchange these securities for other
U. S. Seeuri�ies of shorter maturity,
����y NOW TH;�REFORE BE IT RFSOLVED THAT: ,
The Mayor, H. "�. Cosnahan, City Secretary Hugh Millican, and '
Alderman Box be elected as a committee to enact the details
necessary to exchange the securities through the City' s Security
Depositorp, The First National Bank in Dallas, Texas."
Motion was senonded by Alderman Daniel and Passed By Vote.
