the City I election returns Lor the City election held on April 52
1949 were canvessed by the Uouncil, these returns showed the
following results. 64 votes cast, as follows
Gordon Tate, for Mayor 64

The election results being signed by W.W.Green, Judge of the election
and A.".Woodall w W. 4. ;Stewart.
A. Motion was. made by J. J. Daniel and seconded by 6. iA. ilayne,
after reading the results of said election, that said council
approve and declare the above,eleated for a two year term to
May 1, 1951.

-ft motion was made by J.J.Daniel, seoonded,bj J.P.6tarr Jr to
grant an -easement to the Brazos River Transmission "lectioc
Cooperative, Inc. providing the lines are at least 60 feet
above the disposal plant, and there are to be no poles or guy
wires placed on the City property, of the Qity of Grapevine, Tex.,
and authorizing, the FAty -,;,ecretary to sign easement.
Motion carried,

A motion was made by S. M. ?ayne, seconded by J.P.4tarr, Jr . th at
a motion made at regular meeting on -,April 8, 1949, instructing
the Oity becretary to sign easement wto Broz-os iliver Transmission
Eleottic Copperative inc, to be ammended as follows:
"It Is agreedthat in,the event the 1�ity of Lirapevine desires to
perform work on the plant that requires the use of a Drag line,
crane or other similar equipment, ths Oopperative will arange a
clearance or furnish competent personnel to direct the use ofequipmen-A.
under or near the line, This easement is granted for an aerial use.

At a special meeting on "pril 25, 1949, all members of the,
City council being present, A motion was made by S.M.Payne and
seconded by J.P,;;atarr, Jr. for the �;ity to pay the expense of
securing a title policy on a City lot being purchased from Mrs.
,w.4.Austin, and authorizing Joe Lipscomb to survey.this lot,
Motion to adjourn.
