The Advertised bide an eater c3c Sewer improvements were opened
t the City Hall on July 22, with no contracts made until
. Nichols could study these bid copy of the tabulated
bids and recommendations by Mr. Nichols is hereby attached,
A.. motion made by S,. My Payne, seconded by d. .Starr, Jr. that
the Qity award contract # ' 19 as outlined in specifidations,
to the firm of Russ Mitchell, 'ine. at a price of 410750,00
and authorizing the Mayor & City Seely to sign 'contract with
said firm. This being the water pumping stationt complete,

that the City award contract , as outlived in specifications
to the firm uthwest Company, Fort Worth, at a price of
444009.36, and authorizing the Mayor 6C City Seely. to sign

Contract I
uss tckiell, Wyche and Bruce are low bidders at $10,750.00 .
However, their bid was conditioned all or none. At our request
they have agreed to waive this conditions
e recommend the avard to Russ Mitchell. Wyche and Bruce.
Contract II
Municipal,Tank Service bid was irregular in that 1) no bid bond
s included a 2) the bid vas based on No. 10 gauge roof, whereas
the specifications cell for roof to be 316". At our request
Municipal Tank Service has submitted a letter dding 180.00 to their
Alternate Bid No. 1 for a 5/16" roof. Their bid meeting the specifi-
cations. after this adjustment is 5, 56.009
General Steel Company, the second low bidder, did not bid to meet
the specifications as to metal thickmesse At our request they have
submitted a letter quoting to meet the specifications at $6,256eOO
e recommend the award to Municipal Tank Service at ,456r00 . It
is suggested that the contract be discussed fully with Mr. Allen,
Owaer, in order that he may be fully advised as to what we expect
to be done.
Contract III
outh-west. Company is low bidder at 44, 09.36 . We recommend the
award to Southwest Company*
