A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY
SURPLUS; PROVIDING FOR THE DONATION OF SAID
PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF LYFORD, TEXAS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Grapevine is in possession of
surplus property of Chevrolet Tahoes and equipment; and
WHEREAS,these items have exceeded their life expectancy and are no longer used
by the police department; and
WHEREAS, these items would greatly enhance the effectiveness of another city's
police department and enable them to better service their community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble of this resolution are true and
correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 2. That the following items are declared surplus and are donated to the
City of Lyford, Texas Police Department:
(2) Chevrolet Tahoes
(2) Overhead police emergency lights
(4) Body armor
(3) Rain coats
(1) Traffic vest
(2) Nylon gun belts with holsters, and radio, baton, flashlight, OC spray holders
(1)Remington 870 shotgun
(2) SL20 flashlights with batteries and chargers
(2) Stinger flashlights with batteries and chargers
(1) Pair of leg shackles
(2) Fingerprint Kits
Section 3. That the City Manager,or his designee, is authorized to make the above
items available to the City of Lyford, Texas Police Department.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS on this the 6th day of December, 2011.
